The office door swings open and an angry Genma storms into the room.

"Genma-kun? Did you come back with the three chuunins?" Minato smiled at the teen,"They were quite the troublesome fellows to send them th-"

"Kakashi's alive."

Minato was taken aback by the brunette's statement. His heart hammered in his chest and the man blinked rapidly before he could open his mouth,"...Ka-Kakashi's alive...?"

His student was alive, all this time. Not only Obito, but Kakashi as well. Kakashi was...

"He's not the same Kakashi as before, Yondaime-sama."

Genma wiped the perspiration that appeared beneath his brow,"...He no longer wants to be part of Konoha anymore. He has a grudge that no one is certain of."

Minato's heart halted as he sucks in a shuddering breath before murmuring,"...A grudge?"

His hopes of the Hatake reuniting with Obito as well as him, shattered into millions of pieces. He couldn't tell Obito this. The Uchiha would be devastated to know that his friend left Konoha instead of died along with Rin.

"What should we do about the situation, Yondaime-sama?"

Minato bites his lower lip. His cerulean eyes became dull, very dull. He looked much older as stress had overcame him.

"We do not talk about this to anyone, especially Obito." Minato instructs, standing up with his hands folded behind his back and he gazes out from the window of his office.

"...Are we going to deal with Kakashi, Yondaime-sama? He might endanger our people." Genma points out, frightened by the outcome if they let the Hatake run around the area of the Fire Country.

"We keep an eye out on him, but we do not face off against him." Minato finalized, turning around so his stare could meet the teen,"He is a former comrade of Konoha. I still believe that he may come back to rejoin our village."

Genma wrinkled his nose, in doubt. Kakashi was one of the ninjas he knew that never was social. Never was happy. Never was meant to be a Konoha shinobi. He was only a shinobi. A shinobi in his own rank. In his own class.

Not a Konoha shinobi. Not a Kiri or Suna shinobi. Just a shinobi.

Genma's parents did talk bad about him. He could remember, vaguely, everyone shunned the last of the Hatake. Everyone shunned Kakashi because of what his father did.

'Genma...don't play with that boy...'

'Why not, Okaa-San?"

Genma was only a six. He was an academy student who was running around in the park and playing with the strange, but quiet masked boy, that had graduated early from his class and became a chuunin at the age of SIX.

His mother had pulled him away from the masked boy and took Genma home, scolding him about playing with the silver-haired male.

"But, Okaa-San.... He did nothing! He's just like me! I don't have as many friends, and he doesn't have as many friends as well..."

"Genma-kun... His father is the White Fang of Konoha... And his father had broke the rule during a mission... He's just like his father. He's going to end up breaking every rule in Konoha. A troublemaker..."

Genma didn't want to play with kids that broke the rule, so he listened to his mother. But everyday, when he passed the park on the way home from school, he would see the White Fang's son on the swings, by himself.

Genma soon made friends as he gradually grew older and much more sociable. But the Hatake boy, he was much more lonelier than ever.

And the Hatake soon became jounin as he became a genin.

Genma was very envious. Jealous of the abilities and talents that he did not have, that the masked boy did have.

And he challenged himself to take the chuunin exams. To become a strong shinobi as well.

And soon, the masked boy was teamed up in his own squad. He had teammates.

Rin Nohara. Obito Uchiha. And their sensei, Minato Namikaze. And the masked boy. Kakashi Hatake.

Mission by mission, they were all successful. Until one day...

One of their successful missions had critically injured Obito. Rin and Kakashi both thought that their teammate died.

They continued fighting in the war. Only did Rin's death soon happened, and Kakashi disappeared.

Genma had heard from several of his close friends about the disappearance of Kakashi. He thought the masked boy was long dead...

"Yondaime-sama...do you might think that it wouldn't have been Rin that caused him to leave the village?" The brunette asked, his eyebrows furrowing together in thought.

The blonde Hokage tensed, and his blue eyes narrowed slightly at the statement. Rin. Was that Kakashi's intention? To avenge Rin's death because of Konoha?

Kakashi had lost so much. He shouldn't be able to deserve so much pain.

He had never really shown affection towards the village of Konoha, nor any affection to anyone else in the village.

"Yondaime-sama, you can trust on me not to tell Obito-kun..." The chuunin bowed before exiting the office, mild-mannerly.

The blonde Hokage could only sigh and gaze out at the view of his village.

Where was Hatake Kakashi? Where was the boy Minato once knew?

School has worn me down. I was also working on the shared fic with @anni516. So, I've made my excuses. And I'm done with this chapter.

This is going to be the last shortest chapter for this fic, so I guess it's good news for you guys?

I promise I'll keep up to date. Recently, I've finished an anime that was made a while back, Mirai Nikki. I'm sure a few of you guys heard of it. With the pink-haired, psychotic girl that's a Yandere? Yup.

Well, about that, I'm going to make a one-shot fic about it. For now, I'm not going to try making a story, it'll give me a writer's block and I won't keep up as much...

But the one-shot fic will be called Mirai Nikki 未来 日記：Love Bounds. Basically, it circles around the relationships of the characters in Mirai Nikki.
