"If the fool would persist in his folly he would become wise."

Obito swallowed thickly and stared at the three children that gazed back at him.

What was he suppose to do with them? He wasn't meant to be here.

Wait. He never wanted to be here in the first place. Minato-sensei was the one that set him up to this.

"I think you're capable of becoming a jounin teacher. Teach your ways for the next generation of growing shinobi. You'll be a role model to plenty." The blonde male grinned and placed a firm hand on Obito's shoulder,"I know you can do it, Obito."

Obito grimaced at the sight of the children that stood, wandering mindlessly, around the practice field.

Just great.

The Uchiha felt as if he could hear Minato laughing from miles away. Too bad the blonde man wasn't here. He was too busy doing Hokage work, but Obito was actually glad that his teacher wasn't here to watch. It would have been an embarrassment to screw up in front of three brats, younger than him... And with the Hokage watching, it would be ultimately humiliating and distracting.

Namikaze Minato had spent the last years training him, ever since Rin's death and Kakashi's disappearance. Even as the Hokage, with different duties to accomplish, Minato managed to find the time to train his student. Obito was surely in awe by how the blonde Yondaime cared and even found the time to train him. It was nonetheless that he did not want to lose another student, but it was also because Minato didn't want to lose anyone that was precious to him; not anymore.

The Yondaime had trained Obito thoroughly, and eventually, in the few years, he had reached jounin rank.

He had to say, regardless of the training that he had went through, it was quite intense. But, he was Uchiha Obito. He could succeed the impossible.

"So! Er...how are you guys doing?" The black-haired male asked, a grin broadening on his face, even though he was overwhelmed as hell.

"Why are we here?" One of the brats, stupidly blurted out his question. The child was either questioning why he wanted to be a ninja in his first thought, or he was just plain stupid. Obito didn't bother to ask for the child's name, so he just titled the boy as Idiot.

"Well, the three of you are here to be taught, by a jounin like me." Obito gestured to himself, his thumb jabbed his chest," I will help you become the strongest ninja amongst the Shinobi Nations!"

None of them seemed enthusiastic. Nor impressed. There wasn't even a single movement made by them for the past five minutes.

'Their excitement is equal to my interest in teaching...' Obito internally sulked and clasps his hands together before widening his smile once more;

"Okay, precious students! Today, I'll be giving you a test! And it's quite a simple test, too!" He held up two single bells, jingling the objects that was clasped between his fingers.

The noise caught the graduated academy students' attention. Their eyes flickered upon the ringing items that their annoying sensei held.

"What do bells have to do with a test?" The girl of the group asked, her cerulean eyes bore into his.

She seemed to be the one who rudely talked shit among her elders. Obito didn't really asked for her to introduce herself, so he named her Brat for the time being.

"First off, do not interrupt me when I am speaking. That does not satisfy me at all." Obito frowns and ties the end of the bells to his belt,"Secondly, you three each need to take one bell from me; by force, to pass."

"But there are only two bells. And there's three of us. It's utterly impossible," One of the irritating children, pointed out quite obviously. Obito quickly nicknamed him Snob, because he was the most obnoxious, as well as the annoying one out of the three pests.

"Congragulations! You noticed!" The Uchiha nodded and places his hands on his hips before breaking into a wide grin,"Only two out of three, are able to reach Genin rank. The loser, is the one that has to return back to the Academy."

He snickered at the sight of the three children's expressions.

Idiot's eyes were bulging out, and nearly going to fall right out of his sockets.

Brat's mouth was gaping open, as if her jaw were to unhinge and hit the ground.

And Snob's expression was highly entertaining to watch. The frown and narrowed eyes just seemed to have a hilarious effect on him, in a particular way.

"You have until noon to retrieve these important items." Obito instructed, a sickening smirk spreading his features,"Or else, you all fail, regardlessly."

The kids cursed and bad-mouthed him.

"Stupid asshole!"
"What a freaking jerk!"
"Damn him..."

Younger Obito would have aggressively retort towards them for cursing him out, but he, Adult Obito, was much more mature. He was level-headed. He had grown out from an immature child, to a fully grown man.

He was just going to have a little fun with the ninja wannabes, in his own "mature" way. This was going to be fun...

A/N:

This was a particularly short chapter of our precious Obito. Yes, I did sort of changed him a tad bit. I particularly didn't want Obito to become one of the ANBUs because of the fact of how he doesn't have a heart of darkness that Kakashi had in CANON.

His former teacher, Minato, was killed by the Nine-Tails. Kakashi killed Rin, and watched her die. He also watched Obito "die" in front of him. It's no wonder that he's so broken.

Obito, on the other hand, which I'm prompting up for AU, he was told that Rin died as well as Kakashi (hint hint). And apparently, Minato is still alive.

Thanks for supporting this fic! Please stay tuned for the next chapter! :3
