So you all, my amazing Syndromers, convinced me to stay. The Zayn drama has changed how I'm going to write this book (but only by a little bit :)).

QOOTD: What is one goal that you have on your bucket list?

And also, you all got to another goal!!!! Wow! I love you all so much. Thanks for all the support.

Perrie's POV

Sad.

That's all I feel.

But.. It's kind of a relief.

With Little Mix and One Direction getting so big, it's hard to maintain a relationship, considering we're in two completely different countries most of the time..

Maybe this whole problem could actually make our lives better?

God, I just hope Zayn and I can still be friends. He was one of my best friends.

And that girl he's with now wasn't so bad.. I was just a complete bitch to her.

And her baby is fucking adorable.

But I didn't get to hold little Xander Malik even one time, because I was too caught up in being jealous.

I can't believe that Zayn and I created this mess.

There's rumors that Zayn might leave the On The Road Again Tour.

Thank god that's not true. The One Direction fandom would be really hurt by that. But I know that those fans would support Zayn and the boys no matter what.

I need to call Zayn.

I dial his number and he picks up after a few rings.

"It's Zen," he answers.

"Zayn I'm so sor-"

"-No need to apologize," he interrupts, "It's my fault for cheating on you."

No. He shouldn't feel like he's to blame for this entire situation.

"Zayn I think we should talk this through. Meet me at the frozen yogurt place on 5th street in an hour?"

"Well.. I'm kind of with Penny right now," he mumbles.

"She can come," I blurt.

"But I thought you hated her? I don't want to make you uncomfortable. And I definitely don't want another fight," Zayn says sincerely.

"Just bring her. And the baby. There will be no fights."

"Okay.. See you then?" He says unsurely.

"See you," I say quietly, before hanging up.

Penny's POV

"Who was that?" I question. Zayn looks rather confused.

"It was Perrie.. She wants to talk everything through in a little bit," he says nervously.

"Oh I'll just call Alex over so we can hang out while you're gone," I reply nonchalantly.

"Well there's two problems with that. One, Harry still doesn't like letting Alex out of the house. And two, Perrie wants me to bring you and Xander with me."

But.. I'm the girl who Zayn cheated on her with. Why would she even want to be in the same room with me?

I give Zayn a look of bewilderment.

"She promised to not fight, and I'm going to trust her on that. She's actually a really sweet girl if you're on her good side," he reasons.

"Fine I'll go," I sigh, hoping this ends well.

*at the frozen yogurt shop*

"Perrie must have reserved the restaurant or else this place would be packed right now," Zayn whispers to me.

I see a nervous looking Perrie sitting in a booth towards the back of the shop.

We walk back there and Perrie immediately says, "Okay before I talk to Zayn, I'm so sorry for how I treated you. I was just jealous and too blind to see that you two were actually falling for each other."

"And I'm sorry that I was shallow enough to pretty much steal your fiancé. I can't believe I didn't understand why you were so bitchy to me. I freaking had a kid with your guy and didn't even think to apologize," I gush.

"It's alright. I really was a bitch. But to be honest, I have wanted to hold your baby since the day I saw him," she says, obviously embarrassed.

I giggle and hold him out to her.

"Are you sure?" She asks timidly.

I just nod kindly and hand Xander to her.

Her personality has drastically changed since the last time I saw her. And I honestly like it.

Xander giggles as Perrie makes funny faces at him.

"You can call yourself his aunt if you want. I mean, he is Zayn's son and all. Aunt Perrie has a nice ring to it," I say warmly.

"Thank you so much," she whispers looking down at Xander.

Zayn clears his throat and Perrie and I look at him.

Perrie breaks the silence, "Zayn, I know you might hate me but I think we should be friends. Our fandoms are in pieces. They're hurting Zayn. And I'm not sure what I'd do without you. Most people didn't think that the marriage was going to work out anyways. I mean, in a few days, you'll be in South Africa and I'll be in India! Long distance relationships don't last, but friendships last a lifetime."

Zayn ponders her suggestion.

"I agree Perrie. And I'm not sure what I'd do without you either. We have been engaged for two years and I love talking to you. I think a friendship would really help your Mixers and my Directioners out at this point," Zayn says.

Oh my god if the Mixers and the Directioners mix into one fandom, we're gonna be the biggest and strongest fandom ever.

"Well if we want to spread this information," Perrie suggests, "Let's go sit by the window."

We move by the window and we smile and banter. Perrie continues to play with a very happy Xander. And we almost look like a family.

The paparazzi is going wild outside, but none of us act like we see them.

Maybe this will all work out after all?

Authors Note

I decided to make this kind of a feel good chapter to cheer us directioners up. I know it's probably all cliché and stuff but I don't really care. As long as it makes my readers feel good in this sad time. Alex, Lottie, and the other characters will come back in the next chapter!
Much love ! xx
