Harry's POV
"15 million dollars?" Simon says in disbelief, his mouth hanging wide open.
"Yes Mr. O'Brien," Zayn replies nonchalantly.
"And you do realize that by breaking this contract you will lose all of the money you have made on the current tour?"
He hesitates.
"Yes," he breathes out and the room is silent.
"So what's the catch?" Dylan pushes.
A sly smile spreads across Zayn's face.
"You have to tell everyone that I left because I was stressed and I wanted to live a normal life."
"But... Why? The fans will catch on very quickly if we lie about this," Dylan runs his hand through his hair.
"Just do it."
Dylan sighs and shuffles through some paperwork.
"Sign here, here, and here and you're out. 15 million dollars will be taken out of your bank account along with all of your earnings from the OTRA tour," Dylan says, his face hardened. This must hurt him so bad. It's hurting me. Why would he want to leave so badly?
Zayn quickly signs where he was told and stands up to shake Dylan's hand.
"Enjoy your 'normal life'," he says with a fake smile.
Zayn just nods and leaves the room.
I look over at the other boys to see that Niall has tears in his eyes and I rush over to comfort him.
We sit together and sniffle and remember all the good times we had with Zayn.
Liam looks stressed. He technically is the glue that holds us together, so this is really tough for him.
And Louis.. I'm not sure. When bad situations happen he goes into a little bit of a daze. His normal sassy, happy attitude goes away and is replaced by gloom.
"Remember the 'Vas Happenin Boys' video?" Niall laughs through his tears.
I nod.
"Remember the Energy Juice?" I bring up.
Niall bursts out laughing at the thought of it. Even Liam chuckles a bit. Louis keeps staring off into space.
After about an hour or so of useless banter Liam finally speaks.
"We need to make some major changes to keep the fans loyal. What if they leave us because we aren't the same without Zayn?" He says worriedly.
"They won't. We just need to move on. We're 4/4, and we're moving in a new direction."

Okay so can you tell I'm not as mad at Zayn anymore lol.
I feel like all of the boys' reactions to Zayn leaving were stages of the fandom reacting to Zayn's departure.

Right now in my Spanish class that I'm taking I'm writing a story about 4 pandas and a lonely dog. H, L, L, and N are the pandas and Z is the lonely dog (don't worry it's an attractive dog). The singing pandas find Zayn being sad and they saved him from evil Naughty Boy. In the end, H, L, L, N, and Z are all friends again. Happy day!
