The creaking of a door being opened was heard throughout the silent home. a gloved hand gently glided over the windows, bedside tables, and picture frames.

However, the owners hand stopped at one table, their eyes scanned the picture. a feeling of anger washed over them- their jealousy seemed to have gathered possessiveness. their fingers glided over the female's figure in the picture.

a small feeling of euphoria washes away all the anger and jealousy they felt. they then walked up the stairs that led to the bedrooms.

the stillness of silence seemed to make everything worse- or rather make it creepier.

that's when they stopped at a room, the pushed opened the door, walking in, and watching over the married couple that peacefully slept. A

He walked over to her. They took off their glove, and gently they caressed her cheek. a soft giggle was heard from her.

"Kazuha stop." and they stopped, bringing their hand towards their side, the feeling of jealousy was back. and they stared at the male that slept next to her.

that's when they left.

Kazuha awoke, he felt uneasy and just didn't feel as though he usually does. but it all washed away when he felt her arms around his waist.

she snuggled into his side, he smiled and kissed the top of her head before laying back down himself.

although he's felt it many times, he could quite understand why he did. the feeling of wanting to understand something was never so strong until now- or maybe it was the fact that after everything, he truly did understand why.

"I see! So that's how you've been able to read me." A delicate smile was present, her smile seemed to cause a wave of relief through his body. "master diluc, would you mind if I ask something of your assistance?"

his brow perked, and he nodded. he didn't mind helping her out, she was... a exception to his taken time.

"what is it that you need help with?"

"ah... well, this is quite embarrassing. but... I need help picking an gift out. you see a birthday is coming up and I wanted to surprise the special someone with something they truly adore." she stared at her fiddling hands, feeling as though she overstepped with help.

"I see. well if they love nature, then give them something close to it. I'm not one for such things, so I haven't a clue of what tell." he spoke, placing the cup he was cleaning, down.

"oh? still, I thank you for the help... it is rather late, i'll be going now." she put her coat on and walked towards the tavern doors. she turned her head towards diluc.

"take care now, master diluc." after that she left.

he stared at the door, wondering why he had given such advice. he himself knew for a fact, he hadn't any idea of what she asked, yet he couldn't help but wonder, who would so willingly give a person a present.

upon arriving home, she ran into Kazuha's arms, the both of them falling back onto their couch. his laughter seemed to caused tides of love through her, her heart beating a mile a second. they weren't as young as they used to be, but they still held a lot of love towards each other- even through the years.

"welcome home, my love." he kissed the side of her head, his face being buried into her shoulder.

"kazu, have you eaten yet?"

"not yet. the food is barely done, and I have a feeling you've got quite the news. Haven't you?" a small content look appeared, an kid he sat them up.

"i do, but you have to wait to find out!" she ran towards the kitchen, her laughter ringing through his ears. he didn't quite know what she was, or rather, what her exact energy was. but he adored nonetheless, it was quite apposing to him- and he loved her.

the darkness of mondstadt never seemed to cause quite a problem for him, but he felt as though he could conquer anything. he just felt much more powerful than ever, whether it be the atmosphere changing or the feelings he so desperately hid, or the moments he spent actually involving such feelings.

he felt powerful.

and nothing could possibly stop that- not unless he eliminated all the obstacles in front of him. whether it hurt her or not- he simply wanted her undivided attention on him.

and him only.
