Truth be told, diluc seemed peeved.
He hadn't known exactly how long- or much- but he knew it was wrong. He knew it was wrong to go after a married woman. Especially one that was so deeply in love with another.
So, why was it so hard for him to step away. Stand back even. Be happy for her, the woman that he had feelings for.
But truthfully.... truthfully, he hadn't known just how much he had lost himself in the daze of trying to figure out whether he wanted to hurt or murder that man.
But the plan. The plan had to be perfect, had to be so good they wouldn't know who or why he had done it. But now that he stared at the paper, the perfect moment was wrong. Or rather it was ruined.
Did he know that he had those thoughts towards her. Did he know that he was almost close to luring her in? Was it so hard to just get her alone, without him? But lately she's been with him, so close.
It was intoxicating just how much she seemed to know just what to wear around him, what to say, what to do, just how much could he go before he finally got the full ride of her.
Was it okay to for him to invite her... just her, get her to be close, hold her and maybe.....N just maybe see how much she would submit under him. He wanted her to just simply give him the ever so... intoxicating love she gives him.
He let out a groan. He rubbed his hand down his face and sighed, why was it so hard to think of something before it became lustrous? Was it too late to forge that note?
No, not yet. He had to wait for the right moment.
But now he saw it.
He stood up, a quick stride was what it took him to see the necklace. It was laced with magical crystal chunks. A smile appeared- to any normal person it looked odd on him- but to him it was perfect.
The perfect thing was to gift her jewels. He was rich enough to do so anyways, plus he truly was in love with her. And she'd take anything from him.
"Adeline!" As she walked in, she stared at diluc.
"Yes?"
"Wrap this please." Before she could answer he placed it in her hands, "And make sure nothing happens to it. It is a precious gift to a woman."
She nodded, and with that she walked away. Maybe it was best this way, and a good thing too.
Maybe he couldn't afford her the most priced jewels. But he could.
Truthfully, he didn't know if he was ready to give it to her. But the smile she wore said something else. He was curious as to why she wore such a eye catching smile.
"Something on your mind?" diluc asked, leaning onto the bar.
"Oh! Well you see, I have a-" She abruptly stopped speaking and stared at him. "Well it's nothing." She simply smiled at him. that's when diluc slid across a case.
"that's for you, madam."
She stared at it, confusion was visible.
"For me? Why?" She asked, eyes never leaving the intricate looking case.
"Its a present. For you. If that's okay, of course."
"But why? I didn't take you- or from what you've said before- you aren't one for such things." She took in a breathe before continuing. "Is this a test? Or is it actually for me?"
He let out a sigh, he didn't know whether to be annoyed or bothered, but instead he decided to explain.
"The present is actually for you, and no it is not a test. Just simply take it, if I take back home it'll just hang there." He slid it closer to her. He placed her hand on his, then he slipped the case underneath and placed her hand on top of it.
Y/n decided to open. It was breathtaking, but wasn't exactly what she had thought it to be.
"I-I simply can't take it. I refuse to!" She quickly closed it and pushed it away.
He stared at her. His plan to lavish her in all the most expensive jewels went down the drain. But he had persistence, and he simply let a small miniscule smile appear.
"Go ahead, I haven't the need for it anyways. Plus, I do suppose it'd look quite marvelous on you."
"I'm sorry master diluc. But I cannot take it! I don't like material things." She spoke, making eye contact with him. "What I mean is that I rather something from the heart. Not material things. For example, my husband gives me haiku's, those I enjoy because they come from his heart- it is what he truly enjoys."
Instead of staring at her, diluc stared at the male that had walked in. He watched every step he took, and soon enough he saw his hands place themselves on her hips.
She felt it of course, and a smile began to show itself.
Kazuha leaned forward and placed a gentle kiss atop her shoulder, he held a smug look towards diluc. This look seemed to tell all- in simply he had won already.
"Love, we're to be going soon."
"Right. Well I'll be leaving now. Master diluc do think of what I said." After that she walked out, hand in kazuha's.
"Going after a married woman, I see?" The red headed man turned towards the voice. Kaeya stood there.
"I'm not going after a married woman. She simply can love both, can't she?"
"But it is rather wrong, don't you think? After all, she told you she wasn't a material girl. Haven't you noticed she wears a ring, that should prove much, dear brother. "
"Then it proves she doesn't love her husband as much as she says she does, if she really did she wouldn't be away from her home so often."
"No. It is simply because he's out most of the time. Haven't you had a proper conversation with her? I suppose not, considering you are delusional."
"I am not delusional. I'm simply going to lavish her in all the finest jewels in all of Mondstadt." Diluc seemed angered, annoyed rather. He was quite tired of Kaeya.
"Well if you bothered to actually know her, you'd noticed many things about her. But considering that you're quite stuck in your own fantasy you don't notice many things about her. For example, she reads, she takes strolls around Mondstadt, she enjoys nature. Name one thing you know about her?"
"I know she's married, she's from liyue."
"Give the man an applause! You know the bare minimum of her, did you know she carries a cryo vision? Did you know that she travels around? By the time you know it, she won't be but nothing of a memory to you and to me. Simply think you idiot." Kaeya sighed, he rubbed his forehead, he was ready to drink all night if needed.
"I'll be leaving now, dear brother. But unlike you I know who and what to take an interest in. Unlike a married woman." Kaeya snagged a bottle and walked out of the tavern.
Diluc stood there, he stared at the people- well the empty tavern.
He knew one thing that was going to happen tonight. One person wouldn't exactly be waking up the next morning.
