friday is already here and the back to school event has started. many booths opened up and your school rented lots of stuff like some rides and stuff. you don't really wanna go however attendance is strict today. you rather have fun at home.

you passed by multiple booths and bought some fries while walking around, suddenly you heard your name being called out and saw lisa, jimin and hoseok running to your direction all in their performance outfit

"y/n!!! watch our stage performance later, okay?" lisa beams with hoseok and jimin nodding

"sure. i have nothing to do anyway."

"it will be in 2 hours at the center stage at the park." hoseok said while lisa and jimin is taking some of your fries which you just ignored.

you simply nodded and this just made the three happier. they left running towards somewhere and you continued walking alone. you saw the other food booths and found the student chefs club's booth.

kim seokjin. cooking. hot.

you turn to look somewhere else to avoid staring at him and when you're about to continue walking..

"lee y/n!!"

you look at him and saw him smiling and waving at you. you gave him a small smile and slowly walk towards their booth.

"hi." you greeted while looking at the menu doing your best to avoid his gaze.

"you should try MY special bacon and eggs with MY special kimchi fried rice."

"sure, i'll grab that one."

maybe have you instead, kim seokjin.

after cooking the meal for you. you're surprised to see him going out of the booth and he also has his portion of food. you find out that seokjin took an early break to eat with you.

you took a bite of the food he cooked. surprisingly, rumors are true that he's really a great cook. you look at him and nod "it's delicious. i like it." then you look back at your food to avoid staring at him.

"really? i'm happy. i'll pay for our meals."

you look back at him in surprise. so this is a date now? no, silly. "no, no, no. i can pay for my own meal." you shake your head no.

"y/n, this is the least i can do. please, let me." seokjin is now pouting in front of you. oh no, he's too cute and handsome at the same time.

"fine, just this once."

"i can't promise."

then you started to be quiet as you're to shy to start a conversation to almost everyone, especially to seokjin. you can feel him glancing at you from time to time and you just did your usual stunt on him, pretending not to notice.

"y/n, can i ask you something?"

"shoot."

"are you really this... quiet?"

you look at him for a moment and saw him calmly waiting for an answer. you nod at him.

"i see, don't get mad at for this but ever since i knew you already since your freshman year, i thought you're just unfriendly and unapproachable."

he remembers your name? he knew you ever since you started high school here?

"i get that a lot."

"it doesn't matter now. your friends know you're just really quiet. you should talk more and you can start it with me"

internally, you want to faint. however, knowing this from the one and only kim seokjin is pushing you out of your comfort zone in a good way.

"uh.. i'll try?"
