"Yo, Jonny Boy! Come on!" Steve yelled from the car.

Jonathan grabbed his bag and ran outside, hugging his mother quickly and ruffling Will's hair. He slid into the middle of the backseat. "You know, you could have texted or called instead of screaming." He leaned forward, resting his arms on front seats.

Steve turned in the driver's seat. "But would that be as fun?" He smirked and kissed Jonathan's cheek.

"Yeah, tell that to the hospital bill we're gonna have to pay when you get your vocal cords fixed," Jonathan said.

"That was..." Steve cocked his head slightly. "Weirdly specific."

Nancy laughed, kissing Jonathan's cheek as well. "You know he doesn't plan ahead in life. He doesn't even know where he's going to college."

Steve scoffed as he started the car. "I love you guys, too."

Nancy kissed his cheek.

Ever since fourth grade, Will, Dustin, Lucas and Mike biked to school. Max used to ride with her stepbrother, but ever since she started crashing with El or the Byers or whoever she felt like, she'd get a ride with them- or skate with them.

Currently, she was staying with El, so she was riding to school in Hopper's car. Once they got to school, the two climbed out, Max almost falling out after tripping on nothing. "Thanks for the ride, Chief Hopper!" She said. Mostly, she was just saying that to cover the fact that she wasn't staying at home for the people around her.

"Anytime Max! Hey, both of you! Don't kill anyone!" Hopper called after them as they walked away from the car.

Max was well aware of the stares they would get if she took her girlfriend's- El was fine with the label- hand, so she just flung her arm around their shoulder.

"Where are they?" El asked.

"I'm scanning!" Max responded. She couldn't see the rest of the Party. She did however spot the Teens- as they liked to call the older members of their group. Steve was leaning against the bike rack, eating something out of a bag- Max couldn't tell what us was- with his arm around Jonathan who was on his phone. Nancy was leaning on both of them, her head in between their shoulders. She kept stealing some of Steve's snacks, giving some to Jonathan everytime. Robin was by them, on her phone. Probably texting Julia.

Steve spotted them too. "Hey, Max, El! They went to see what the A.V. Club's like!" He called.

Max thanked him by saluting with two fingers in his direction and walked into the building with El. The highschool was just next to the middle school, but it was just ever so slightly bigger. They followed the room numbers until they found room 143.

El pushed the door open to reveal the rest of the Party gathered around the table in the middle of the room.

Mike and Will were standing next to each other, their arms rubbing up right next to each other. Dustin leaned so far forward that it looked like he'd fall face first on the table. Lucas was sitting in front of a massive radio. "Hey guys," Mike said without looking at them.

"Why do you look so enamored with that thing? It looks ancient." El walked closer to the table.

"That's the point!" Dustin practically yelled. "It's a still functioning radio from the eighties!"

Max groaned, "you guys are such nerds." Lucas gasped in fake offense. Will burst out laughing.

Mike elbowed him playfully, "yeah, you nerd." Will elbowed him back.
