"Are you sure you're okay little one?" I ask her as I sit down on the stool next to her.
"I'm okay. Really. Just need a second to calm down before I can heal my back." She says before dropping her eyes to her hands, I notice her limiters flickering slightly, as if her powers weren't stable.
"Excuse me sir, can I get a rainy day glass?" I ask the bartender, to which he nods, walking off. I turn her chair so her back is to me.
'Buck- coming up' I say mentally to Bucky so he knows it's coming.
"Move your hair to the side darling, and hold on to the side of your cape." I say as I move my finger tips over her collarbone, reaching for the bow at the base of her throat. I untie it as she sweeps her hair to her left, the side toward the room, while holding that side of her cape as well. The other side of her cape flutters down and rests along the remaining fabric of it on her left side. I look at her back for a moment.
"I can manage this sweetling, you just relax." I say still looking at the marks on her skin.
'It's bad James.' I call to Bucky, warning him before I show him.
'Let's see it.' He answers quickly, wanting to assess the damage. I let my hand turn blue to numb it, as I touch my fingers to the 4 deep puncture marks on the right side of her back, then run them along the 4 equally deep scratches that race across her back, blood slowly dripping from them. I hear Bucky growl from across the room from us, trying hard to not join him.
'If I ever see that cockrag again...well. Let's just say we found a new knife board.' Bucky says as I feel him trying to calm down.
'Yes I agree, he is a dead man walking.' I reply as I get to work healing her back, Buck still watching through my eyes to make sure everything goes well. I finish with her back and also remove the blood that had gotten onto her dress and cape. She sighs, before looking over her shoulder at me.
"Is there any blood on my cape and dress?" She asks, with an anxious look in her eyes.
"I got rid of the stain darling, stop worrying about it." I reply with a small smile as I let Bucky's sight go.
'Keep your eyes on her just in case.' I say, getting no response.
She nods at me as the bartender returns with a glass of golden liquid, placing it in front of me. I hand her the string of her cape, our fingers connecting for a moment as she grabs it, and then fixes it along her shoulders. She moves her hair back around her, as I take a sip from the glass and sigh in relief. She looks at me with questions in her eyes before speaking.
"What is that? I saw Thor drinking it earlier and his mind was wandering all over a golden palace." She questions, looking curious.
"That would be the palace on Asgard, our home. This is Asgardian mead, one of the most delicious alcohols in all 9 realms. You can understand why it's so hard to get here on Midgard then." I say, to which she nods. I know she wants to try it but she doesn't ask, instead she grabs my hand and her drink.
"Come on, it's time to threaten people and then dance." She replies while walking us towards Wanda and Vision.
"I approve. If you hurt her in any way, I will dismantle you and send you to the junkyard." She says to Vision, making me smile, before purple shimmers over her cup and she sets it down on the table to their left.
"You can sit here and enjoy your drink, watching me dance right there," she stops to point to a spot on the edge of the dance floor, closest to us and Bucky. "Or you can put it down and drink it in a little bit. Doesn't matter to me. Both you and Bucky can see me clearly." She concluded. I talk to Bucky while I look between the two places.
