The Power of Prayer

So the first testimony that I'll be sharing here is from me - which have happened to me long ago, and God have answered in a way that I did NOT expect.

So my family only owns one car and we had this car for a REALLY long time, so it's a pretty old vehicle. One day, one of the doors from the back seat was jammed. It wouldn't open up at all no matter how hard we tried to get it open - from the inside and out - it just wouldn't budge.

My dad thought to get another car, but I didn't want another just because of a broken door. I didn't want it to be a burden to my dad since he works all the time and almost everyday. This feeling and thought wouldn't leave me until it was time to go to sleep. Before going to sleep, I decide to take it to prayer, praying about it to God to please fix the door of the car somehow. I trusted that God would fix it somehow instead of thinking or worrying about it too much, and if it didn't come true then I was alright with it because God knows better. His thoughts and ways are not my thoughts and ways, his are higher.

I think the next day or a few days later or so, my family and I planned to go to church on a Sunday morning, which I didn't felt like going to be honest... I was quite tired and didn't feel the need to go that morning - but I went anyway because of my parents. On the way I was listening to music while peacefully looking out the window as usual, minding my own business since my sister and her friend came along with us in the car.

Then out of nowhere my mom suddenly starts screaming, which caught me off guard greatly. Then BANG! Was the next thing I heard right after the scream. Then I felt a force so strong in my life that it made my sister and her friend to be pushed up against me, eventually making the car go tipping on it's side. I remembered seeing the very streets on the window where I looked out, quickly realizing and preparing myself for the worst, as my sister fell upon my head and shoulders, nearly going over me.

Then somehow, by some miracle, the car just comes right back down on all it's four wheels on the street. I was so surprised that we didn't end up being stuck upside down! After all that craziness, I was frozen with such fear, my heart racing and pounding, my thoughts buzzing around. I NEVER experienced a car accident in my life so this was such a terrifying moment. My sister's friend sat right next to where the jammed door was, the exact spot of where the car have hit us. After recollecting and processing of what just happened, my mom and dad gets out the car first to check if anything was broken.

Thank God none of us was injured badly, and our car turned out okay, which is surprising how a car can take such a powerful hit without getting any damage. The only thing that got broken was some doorstep of the car and nothing else. Then the friend decide to get out the car before my sister and I, and once again, to my surprise, that jammed door opened... I remember thanking God later that day. To this day, my family still has the same car, and the door never jammed again. It opens from the inside and out - it's as if someone have really fixed it.

You see, God answers prayers in ways that are either crazy or straight up terrifying! It still amazes me how He is still at work, answering the prayers of other people who have experienced the same miracles. This was too far from mere coincidence, honestly what are the odds of this happening? It was a very scary thing to have happened, but God kept me safe through it all - sometimes God is like that.

Whoever you are on the other side of this screen, maybe you have been "hit" in some part of your life, feeling like you're about to tip over and your whole world going upside down, as if everything is falling apart... and I know how scary and terrifying that is. It may seem like things are going bad for you, but when you trust God, and let him take care of it, then he will keep you and pull you through it. Once you let him, then BANG! Suddenly he heals, he saves, he restores, he delivers, he answers and sets free.

Now you see why this was so unexpected because God literally answered my prayer through a car accident! Do you know how deadly car crashes are these days? It's one of the top leading causes of death! And God used it for His glory✨

The point of why I share this is so you don't underestimate the power of prayer - prayer is powerful, and not a lot of people realizes how important it is to simply have a prayer life. Stop doubting and quit thinking that God doesn't hear you when he actually does. God cares and listens to who's hearts are honest and are aligned with him. If you're not praying what's in your heart or don't confess anything to him, then he won't bother to listen because he wants to hear what's on your mind. Simply be real and honest because nobody likes to listen to a person that pretends to be fake.

I hope that this gave you some encouragement in these troubling times. Continue to walk with God no matter how things go down - I don't say all this to gain any praise since all I did was pray and ask God for something that I wasn't able to do for myself. Put your trust in him and learn from him - even if God doesn't answer you - at least know that there's always a reason for it and that He have not stopped caring about you nor have stopped loving you. Be willing to accept a no if that's how it turns out, but don't let that discourage you - his no's has reasons too✨🤍
