Woman in the mirror

Staring into the mirror,
Searching my own eyes
The face isn't right
The reflection telling lies

My right eye droops, sinks
Left getting smaller
The still vivid green
Shrinks

Feeling my lips stretch
Should be sporting a smile
My image doesn't move
Been blank for a while

I love you, I love you, I love you
I think
The glass shows another.
Eyes made of ink

I blink
Glance away
The room does a dance and a sway

Now I'm beautiful
I'm shocked at the core
Emotions at battle
Self seduction at war

When you're feeling unworthy
Stare into your own eyes
The mirror will be your friend
Revealing tales of beautiful lies
