"Dad it's the millionth time I'm saying this, I don't want to marry that guy, whoever Kim he is!" You almost yell at your phone while walking down the busy streets of Seoul.
You were angry, your parents were marrying you off to someone you didn't even know, let alone loved and the reason was the classic "It will help our business." You couldn't understand how important business was for them that they were literally ready to trade your happiness just for the growth of their business.
"At least let me meet or see him." You plead, tired of all the drama that's been going on at your house.
You were told about this wedding thing just two weeks ago and ever since then, all you've faced at your home was stupid arguments. Of course you had to argue, you have never seen him. You don't know how he looked like, how his personality is, how he'd treat you. You weren't aware of anything except his name which you've forgotten too. All you knew was his surname is Kim.
"You can see him tomorrow, at the wedding venue." Your dad's voice was firm.
"I don't even love him, dad!"
"I don't care about that. You're going to get married tomorrow and that's final. And it'd be great if you come back home soon." You hear from the other side.
Infuriated, you disconnect the call and put your phone on flight mode. You were standing by the Han river now, the place where you and your boyfriend, Kim Namjoon, used to meet almost every evening.
A sigh leaves your mouth when the picture of your boyfriend from the last 5 years flashes in front of your eyes. You sit on one of the benches and let your eyes roam over to the couple that was sitting a few benches away from you.
They had a little girl with them. The sounds of their laughter and giggles filling up the silent environment. They looked happy, just the way you imagined your future to be.
With Namjoon.
You wanted to marry him, to have kids with him, to have a small happy family. But your parents were ruining everything, all your future plans seemed to be going down the drain and you had no idea how to stop all of this from happening.
You were so immersed in your thoughts, that you didn't notice your boyfriend has already arrived and was now sitting just beside you.
"What took you so long?" You ask him, taking the cold americano he'd got for you, just the way he did everytime you both met.
"Was caught up in something." He sighs and removes the mask that was covering his face, now that he was away from all the crowd and the chances of you both getting caught were low.
This was the safest place for your secret outdoor meet ups because you definitely didn't want Namjoon to get involved in a dating scandal that might ruin his reputation as a Kpop idol or the reputation of his band which is full of a bunch of chaotic but kind hearted crackheads.
