"Hey, honey bun....." Peanut came running to me with his lunch bag swinging.
I waved to his teacher and buckled him in, Peanut reached for his headphones and I turned on the tablet. I looked down at my phone, when I got behind the wheel. I started the car and my phone connected to the Bluetooth.
"Hi....." I pulled off from the curb, biting my lips, tryna hide the smile.

"Hey....." His suave and smooth voice did something to me and I fought back the sigh that wanted to escape. My mind been on Orion all day, I mean we been texting back and forth, him letting me know the good news about custody of Maris going to his parents.
He didn't need to go to the anger management classes no more. I didn't think he really needed to, in my opinion Orion the chillest guy.
"SPONGEBOB SQUARE PANTS!!" I looked in the rear view mirror, to see Peanut kicking his legs in glee and bopping his head to the theme song.

"I understand....." I remembered Orion mentioning that he was gonna get a place, after the hearing. Since Maris is gonna be living with his grandparents and with this police investigation......Orion needed to keep himself out of his parents house.
"So, you found a place......?"
"Yeah, but I'm not sleeping in it tonight. Me and my publicist gonna rent a hotel room for the next couple days. It's some stuff I needa replace in it. I'll look for a house maybe next year....." I pulled off when the light changed.
"It makes sense. Get used to everything in a new city, gives you time to think and not just rush into buying just anything....." I mean I'd do the same.
Maybe Orion wouldn't even wanna stay in Savannah.
"Yeah......listen, are you close by Helmsley Rd.....?"
"Um....yeah. I just picked up Peanut, his school is a couple blocks from it.....everything ok.....?"
"Yeah, yeah.....I got Maris here and we at the playground.....I just figured if you wanna swing by and have the boys chill....." I turned the block on my way to Helmsley Rd.
"Look at me, daddy!" I smiled hearing the excited voice in the background.
