Detainee 17 came in shortly after 11pm. The officer, holding her file flipped through the pages. There wasn't much known about the girl in front of them. Being a foreigner, it would still take them hours, or even days to determine her country of origin and then receive her files.
What they did know was that in some form of the incident involving the BTS members Kim Namjoon and Kim Seokjin, she had reportedly been using some kind of bond-type ability to inflict harm. The officer flicked through the page again.
The idol, Kim Namjoon, was reportedly still in the hospital, but thankfully no one else was harmed. Apart from the detainee, that is.
He sighed. Being an officer was a tough job, and it was even tougher seeing cases like these pop up. Outside of work, his name was just Ham Sungho. He was already a father of three young kids, and his eldest was already obsessed with the local superstars. She would be devastated to hear that one of them had been injured. Even more so of the evidence pointed this to being something more than a desperate fan wanting to meet the famous group.
His partner came in from the room where they were holding the girl, a tired expression on her face.
"Any update?" Sungho asked his partner.
The other officer shook his head, stretching out his arms a little.
"She's still out good. Heart beat is a little sporadic, but it could still be a side effect of the suppressants we gave her. She should be coming out of it within the next hour, and we put on electrical cuffs in case the suppressants don't succeed in blocking her bond."
Sungho nodded. It had only been an hour or two since the girl had been brought in, and while it wasn't common for them to stay out this long, it was possible.
A frown appeared on his partner's lips as he turned to look into the room they were detaining the girl. From what Sungho could see, the light colour of a bruise on the girls temple was already forming, and there were several marks on her arms from where they had held her to carry her out.
"You don't think she is involved with the ISFA, do you?" Sungho's tongue grew dry at the thought, and he felt sick. The ISFA was one of the most infamous terrorist groups in the world. Their name stood for International Soulmate Freedom Association, but he knew that none of their actions were for freedom. They were responsible for bombing capital buildings and crumbling entire governments. It was never really clear why they did anything.
Sungho's partner sighed. "I really hope not, but it could be possible. Reports of the situation call for the fact that her soul bond is very rare and clearly dangerous. The ISFA usually tries to take advantage of that."
"She's a bit young though, isn't she?"
His partner shrugged. "Looks can be deceiving. It wouldn't be the first time their agents have been this young."
Sungho stepped up to the glass separating the two of them from the girl. Currently, she was still sitting in one of their interrogation rooms. But if she didn't wake up soon, there wouldn't be much purpose for the room. He got a surge of annoyance wash through his system, already irritated that the girl wasn't waking up. The sooner she did so, the sooner he could finish up and go home.
His partner let out an irritated sigh. "She should be up by now. Someone fetch a medic to wake her up."
One of the workers managing the recording systems and speakers spoke into the system.
"Medic requested in INT Room 2 immediately. Thank you," the speaker cut out, and Sungho was silently hoping that the foreigner would wake up from the loud noise. Clearly not.
