from writers perspective: jesse and sofia did have a small break and reunited when jesse returned to the uk. they tried their upmost to make their relationship work and put all of their energy into creating the best versions of themselves as they could. their hard work payed of and the couple are happier than ever.
12 months after jesse returned from greece the couple, found out they were expecting their first child and couldn't wait to watch their baby become daddy's biggest fan.
half way into sofias pregnancy, jesse took her back to the hill where they had their first date and proposed to her. the answer was obviously yes.
maybe if the couple had never took the hard decisions to take a break then they may not be where they are today.
