The Party Where We Met

Jane's pov:

I park the car in front of Alice's house and smile at Ellie. "This is gonna be an amazing party" I say excitedly "and you're gonna love Alice, you'll see." Ellie smiles nervously at me. She's a pretty introvert person and doesn't like parties too much, but I'm happy that I convinced her to come with me this time.

"Oh and there'll be a lot of cute guys too, it's gonna be so much fun!" I say while stepping out of the car and Ellie slowly does the same, still not sure yet if her decision was a good one or not. "Oh come on you scared duck, let's go inside" I say while dragging her with me into the house.

I quickly find Alice as she's the shining star of the party. I drag Ellie with me and walk up to Alice to say hi. "Alice!" I yell over the music and she turns around to face us. "Jane, hi! I'm so happy you could come" she says with a friendly smile. "Alice, this is Ellie, a very good friend of mine. Ellie, this is Alice, she's almost like a big sister to me."

Ellie stays silent and just smiles shyly at Alice. "Hey, nice to meet you" Alice says to start a conversation. "Likewise" Ellie says softly "Your hair is very pretty, I like it." I smile as I picture my two best friends being the best of friends too.

"Okay guys, I'll leave you two to talk and imma search Liam" I say while turning to walk away. "Don't forget to talk with some nice guys Ellie" I add before walking away. "I last saw Liam in the kitchen by the drinks by the way" Alice yells after me and I yell an "okay, thanks" in response.

Ellie's pov:

Jane draggs me inside the house and I can feel my anxiety taking over. I don't even know how she convinced me to go with her in the first place. I hate having too many people around me and well, this was a party. Parties mean a lot of people which means that I won't be able to relax.

As she draggs me further into the crowd, Jane walks up to someone, probably this friend of hers that's throwing the party. "Alice this is Ellie, a very good friend of mine. Ellie this is Alice, she's almost like a big sister to me" Jane says excitedly.

I can't believe my eyes when I look up at the girl. She has wavy, bright red hair that reaches down to her lower back and her eyes are a beautiful hazel brown colour. She's wearing black, high-waisted pants, a white crop top and some red-white sneakers. Her smile is warm and makes me instantly happy too. She literally takes my breath away and I can't say anything, so I just smile shyly.

"Shit you weirdo, say hi or something!" I curse myself mentally. "Hey, nice to meet you" Alice says to make the situation less awkward but of course, I can't do the same. "Likewise" I say softly "Your hair is very pretty, I like it." If I could, I would slap myself in the face right now. "Your hair is pretty? What the fuck was that you idiot? You see one beautiful girl and instead of trying to be friends, you make everything fucking weird?"

Jane leaves to find her boyfriend and before leaving, she says "Don't forget to talk with some nice guys Ellie." I could just sunk into the ground at this point, I feel so embarrassed. Now Alice is going to think that I'm searching for a boyfriend while all I want is just someone nice to talk to and honestly, she was a perfect candidate. She keeps smiling at me and tries to make me a little less shy and more comfortable.

"So I'm guessing Jane dragged you with her but you don't actually wanna be here?" Alice asks in a friendly tone. "She kinda did yeah. I just don't really like crowded places" I explain softly. Alice seems to think and then says "If you want, we can go upstairs? My room is people-free so it will be more calm in there." I smile gratefully. "If it's not a problem, that would be great" I say happily.

Alice leads me upstairs to her bedroom. It's a big but cosy room that has everything you really need. "You have a very nice room" I say shyly and Alice smiles widely which makes me automatically smile too for some reason. "Thanks Ellie" she says contently. She's so kind and friendly, I like her already and I only just know her.
