Indoraptor awoke in a dark room. His claws scraped the shiny, metal floor beneath him. He was still tired and his entire body felt loose. But it was easing gradually, much to his appreciation.
What had happened before he was trapped in here? He knew that the humans shot at him with those sticks, but what was before that?
Indoraptor stretched and eyed the enclosure. There was a lot of noise in the background, beyond his cage. The noise sounded like humans. A whole crowd of them, he guessed. Indoraptor heaved himself upward onto his four legs, then stood up completely on his rear legs once he had found the strength. He pushed his snout out of the gap in between the metal bars. There was little light, but with his good eyesight, he saw more light than there was.
The floor beneath him budged, and he realized the entire cage was moving. Indoraptor jolted backward, stumbling to find his balance on his four legs.
More light appeared, and it was occasionally broken up by sillhouettes of humans and objects they sat on or stood by. As the humans cast their sight onto him, he let out a screeching-roar, demanding freedom. He gripped his fore claws around the metal bars, and the memory finally came back to him. He had met a velociraptor named Blue before he had fallen asleep. She had taught him so much already, and he owed her a lot. I have to find her! Other than that, he realized how much he cared for and respected her. "Blue!" He screeched. "Blue, where are you?"
Around him, the crowd of humans let out shouts and crowed to each other. There was a man who stood closest to his cage, shouting at the crowd. Some humans at the side of the cage poked at him with those shocking sticks, and he screeched in agony each time they poked. Ouch! Leave me alone!
He snapped his jaws at the shocking stick, threatening the human, but it didn't seem to care. Amusement glittered in the small eyes of the human. He snarled. The room went much quieter as the one man continued hollering at the crowd. Then, something caught Indoraptor's attention.
A red light beamed across the room, onto the chest of a man in the crowd. Indoraptor stepped closer to the metal bars, then threw himself at the cage, trying to escape to achieve his prey and seize his target. The crowd jumped in unison, giving shouts of alarm. The red light had gone now, and Indoraptor didn't feel the unbreakable urge to kill any of the humans, other than his instinct to hunt, which wasn't intrigued in that moment.Suddenly, a small dinosaur which Indoraptor of course didn't recognize, ran into the crowd, taking a few humans down with its head. Did Blue tell me what those were? He wondered. I don't think so.
The crowd of humans exploded into chaos. They ran everywhere, trying to escape the angered dinosaur. Then, a man ran and tackled another human, who had one of those sleepy sticks, but Indoraptor knew it was different since it fired odd, loud stuff instead of the things that stuck in your skin.
He watched the chaos with interest and amusement. He caught sight of the small dinosaur again. I like this little guy. He's funny. The humans were flying everywhere because of the small dinosaur, and that one human was fighting with a bunch of others. The cage suddenly jerked backward, and Indoraptor was being taken into that dark room again. But it suddenly stopped, and Indoraptor noticed the one human had pulled some sort of stick that came from the ground and that was what made the cage move and stop. The man then left, and after a moment of more loud chaos, the room was quiet and empty. He was left alone in his cage. He paced around with no motive. He couldn't think of one.
Then, another man came into the room. He approached the cage slowly, and Indoraptor turned to face him. He scratched at the metal bars with his claws, growling and hissing at the man. The man had carried a sleepy stick, and it made him frightened. Not again!
But the things that stuck into his skin didn't seem to be working for some odd reason, and the sleep didn't weigh onto him. Instead, he caught an idea, realizing how hungry he was. Indoraptor began to fall backward, stumbling, letting himself go loose. He collapsed rather dramatically to the floor of the cage and closed his eyes. He heard the squeaking noise of the cage opening, and the human stepped in, the door closing by itself behind him. Indoraptor felt the man prod his face, and he gave no reaction. It's working, he thought with satisfaction. The man clasped something around his tooth. Indoraptor raised the tip of his tail in the air, waving it around. The man whipped around, and his tail dropped. Indoraptor opened his eyes, and closed them when the man turned back to his head to return to pulling on his tooth. Indoraptor raised his tail tip again. But when the man turned to look, he kept his tail up, opened his eyes, and raised himself upward, grasping the mans arm in his jaws. Biting down hard, he raised the man up from the ground. The man screamed in both pain and terror, and fell to the ground when his arm fell from his body and down Indoraptor's throat.
