The blast must have knocked me out and when I opened my eyes, I saw my friend lying next to me with his eyes wide open.
There he laid, stiff.
He's dead.
I tried to distance myself from his body but I cannot.
I looked down and saw both my legs stuck between a pile of large debris.
I looked around and all I see was death.
The area was wet with blood splattered all over.
It was carnage.
Moments later, I heard movement.
I looked around hoping to see someone.
I looked up above my head and saw several students roaming about.
I raised my hand hoping that they noticed me in between the dead.
Luckily, one of them noticed me and had the others to free my legs from the debris.
They dragged me off the carnage area and carried me away.
While I was piggybacked, I looked around, remembering the path we took.
It was starting to get dark so I wasn't able to see much.
The water was about half a meter down the platform we were on.
I looked back at those who had helped me. I recognised them! They were my seniors.
I figured they will carry me to the other building once known as the auditorium of our school.
The auditorium was another separate building of the school but a storey shorter than the rest of the school buildings.
There stored many things such as panels for exhibition use and several equipment I would call fancy.
Too bad about half of the auditorium floor had already been filled with water as we had arrived to the building.
They had me seated at the attic where another student took care of me.
There I saw many other students recovering from their injuries as well.
While I had my legs treated, a senior student walked towards me and asked me to tell him everything that had happened at the other building.
I was soon told that I was the only person who survived the carnage.
My eyes widen.
The only one survived?
I told him everything that I had seen and experienced.
From when the water starts to rise till the moment the space rock hit the ground.
He simply nodded and looked back at the student who had me treated.
I cannot make up of what they were talking about, but I was able to hear the word 'alien'.
They had the expression of fear painted all over their face.
I immediately stood up and approached them closer.
Suddenly, everyone moved away from where I was standing.
I then realised; How was I able to stand immediately?
