Levi, Furlan, and Isabel waited for Eva. They had more than enough time to search Erwin's office, and it was spotless. They even had enough time to check the other offices just in case they had the wrong one, but they couldn't find anything.

"What if she was caught?" Isabel asked nervously.

"Then they'd have already found and arrested us," Levi replied, dismissing Isabel's concern.

"Eva wouldn't give up the rest of us," Furlan objected.

"She wouldn't have to, we were recruited together. If one of us gets caught then we all do," Levi reminded.

"Sorry I'm late!" Eva called, slowing on her approach. Levi noticed the flushed look on her face but decided it was because she ran here.

"Did you have any luck?"

"Nothing, he barely has anything in there. If this document exists it's not in his office," Furlan replied.

"It's best to assume it's not there," Levi agreed.

"Then where is it?" Isabel asked.

"What do you do with something you really want to keep safe?" Furlan replied. Isabel crossed her legs, mulling it over.

"Inside my stomach band of course!" She replied, patting her stomach.

"I don't know if Erwin wears a stomach band, but it's highly likely that he's carrying it with him," Furlan explained. Levi noticed a light go off in Eva's eyes, one she tried to hide.

"What is it?" He asked.

"Don't freak out," She started, which was never a good way to start any sentence.

"I felt something hard, in his coat. The inner pocket of his uniform jacket, the light brown one."

"How the hell-"

"He was teaching me how to ride."

"Sounds like that's not all you were doing," Furlan snickered. Eva shoved his arm.

"He sat behind me on the horse to guide me. When his torso touched my back, I felt it. If it's some type of scroll or rounded container then that could be it," She explained. Eva avoided Levi's gaze, which only made him more annoyed as he tried to read what she could be thinking. He knew she didn't fully trust the job, or rather she didn't trust why it was necessary.

"If Eva is right, then it would be easiest to use the expedition to our advantage. Outside the walls, Erwin and the others will be concentrated on the titans. We just have to wait for an opportunity," Furlan suggested.

"I see. Great idea!" Isabel agreed, nodding enthusiastically.

"Do you agree Levi, Eva?" Furlan asked, but Levi seemed deep in thought and Eva merely shrugged. She still avoided anyone's gaze, lost in her own thoughts as well.

"Sure," Levi finally answered.

"But I'll be going alone," This time Eva looked up.

"You three, just think of any excuse to stay behind."

"Are you stupid?" Levi looked to Eva, expecting this reaction. Furlan and Isabel backed up a little in case a fight started, recognizing Eva's tone.

"We haven't even seen a real titan yet, and it'll be our first time outside the walls. It may take all we've got just to come back alive, but if I'm by myself I'll manage somehow."

"So, what you're saying is we can't handle it right?" Furlan replied shortly before Eva could get in.

"That's right. At least, that's how I feel."
