Narrators Pov

Nine years later...

Lorelei sat there on the window sill, looking out across Hogwarts. Little did she know, this was her mother's spot. Sadie would come here when she wanted peace and quiet. So did Lorelei. Like mother like daughter.

But as she sat there and watched the branches of the trees from the forbidden forest sway back and forth she felt free. She felt free of all of the troubles going on.

In reality, it was just school that was her trouble. But recently, she couldn't get the sound of her mother's voice belting at her father when she was eight years old. It's something she's been thinking of a lot.

Lorelei always wondered what happened. It was a surprise to walk out from the back of the coffee shop and hear her mother yell at someone who was just a customer. Or so she thought was a customer at the time.

When Sadie sat down with her daughter that night and she asked who that man was, she never thought that her mother would've said it was her father. Lorelei had gone years with it just being her and her mother. For eight years it was just them. And then it all changed in just a few hours.

But Lorelei was okay with it. She loved her father and the way that their relationship had grown. As she grew older, you could tell that Theodore Nott was her father.

The wind blew through her hair and brushed it back over her shoulders.

All of those times that her Aunt Korrie had watched her for a week... Was she with her father and just kept her a secret? All of those times that she asked about him and her mother changed the subject quickly... Was she a secret?

Well, she wasn't now.

Lorelei took a breathe and closed her eyes. As she breathed in the chilly midfall air, she shivered. She felt like someone was watching her... Like someone was standing behind her and wouldn't take their eyes off her.

"You're in my spot." The cold voice spoke, making hairs stand up on Lorelei's neck.

Lorelei turned and saw Scorpius standing there, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed in front of him.

Scorpius Malfoy... The boy with blonde hair and blue eyes. It hurt to look at him sometimes. He was beautifully made and Lorelei couldn't understand how someone so perfect could be so real. He was just seven months younger than her. And just like her, he was an unplanned pregnancy. But his parents stayed together and never broke up.

Lorelei rolled her eyes, "Last time I checked, this window was a part of the school."

"Exactly." He said and Lorelei looked back out onto the grounds of the school, "But this is my spot. I come here all the time."

She could hear him move, feet stepping on the ground and coming closer to her. Until he was close. He was right next to her and moving to sit down... Next to her.

Her body heated up and she could feel herself becoming red. But it was cold enough to tell him that her face was red because she was cold.

"Why do you come here?" She asked, breaking the silence that was turning awkward.

"For quiet." He replied. "Coming here and listening to the quietness helps me get out of my head. It helps me not think about school and it helps me not think of my mother's sickness."

That's right. Lorelei thought. His mother is sick.

"Oh." Is all she said. She didn't know how to respond... at all.
