Phoenix's POV

"Taehyung ah. I have doubts that Minister Park is involved in corruption and other some crimes. I did collect some evidences against him but I am afraid its not enough. I want you to look into the case." The emperor share his worry to the Imperial Commander.

Minister Park. He was also a very high level official in the Imperial Palace. But as he got promotion after promotion, his honesty started ceasing. He became more hungry for power.

The emperor noticed the changes in Minister Park, and so, started growing skeptical towards him.

The emperor, ordered his spies to keep an eye on Minister Park. He (emperor) did find some things about him (Minister Park) but as Minister Park was in a high position, the findings weren't enough.

Yes! He is the emperor but he can't just fire anybody from the court without pure evidences. If it was like this, then this palace would be called an arbitrary rule, which the people won't like even a bit.

"Do you want me to investigate this case for you?" Taehyung ask.

"Yes but I am afraid that it may cause you separate with Jisoo for a few days as Minister Park is now outside the capital. You have to go out of the capital." The emperor replied.

Taehyung thought for a moment. Then he remembered Jisoo's words. She wanted to explore places outside the capital.

"Your majesty. I will take the case. I can also use the opportunity to bring Jisoo out of the capital. She can have a mini vacation."

"Seems like, our cold Imperial Commander has already broken down his ice for hsi wife." The emperor tease.

Taehyung groan in annoyance, "Whats with the tease your majesty."

The emperor chuckled, "You should get going. Madame Kim will be waiting."

Taehyung bowed to the emperor, "Then I shall take my leave."

Phoenix's POV

"You tired?" Jisoo ask her husband, who was now enjoying her massage.

Taehyung hum as a response.

Taehyung look up at Jisoo before sitting up beside her.

"I have a surprise for you." Taehyung said.

Jisoo laugh, "and what is that?"

"Show me some excitement, come on." Taehyung whine.

"Wah! What do you have for me? I am so excited to know?" Jisoo said with excitement, sarcasm heavily blended in her "excitement."

Taehyung pouted but continues with his words nevertheless.

"I have got a new case. I have to go outside the capital for that--"

"O-outside the capital. W-when are you returning?" Jisoo suddenly became pale.

Oh how could she live without him?

Taehyung understood her thoughts and chuckle.

"Don't worry sooyaa, I am taking you with me. I remember you wishing to see places outside the capital."

Jisoo's eyes became teary, hearing the statement.

Taehyung panic seeing her eyes watery.

"Whats wrong sooyaa. Did I say something wrong?" Taehyung ask.

Without any words, Jisoo directly tackle him with a hug and burst into tears.

"S-sooyaa, whats wrong? You are making me afraid." Taehyung slowly pat her back.

Jisoo giggle which calmed down Taehyung a bit.

Jisoo snuggle closer to him, burying her face against his chest.

"N-nothing is w-wrong. I-its just that I have never been loved like this by anyone other than Jennie. It all feels like a dream to me. You remember my every word, my needs and so much more." Jisoo voice her words.

Taehyung's whole existence went soft at the statement.

He hug Jisoo tighter, "sooyaa, don't cry. I will always be with you. From now on, you have me. I will protect you like a barrier."

Jisoo look up at Taehyung.

"Saranghae Taehyung ah."

Taehyung smile at her, "nado."

Phoenix's POV

"sooyaa, you ready?" Taehyung ask the girl.

Jisoo nodded.

"Jennie and Yeonjun are waiting for us, outside." Taehyung said.

"Ok. Lets get going." Jisoo excitedly said.

Its her first time going out of the capital. Ofcourse, she is excited.

"You look quiet happy." Taehyung chuckle.

"I am happy. I am so excited." Jisoo went off like a little kid.

Seeing her like this, Taehyung really couldn't help but feel happier.
