Ivory hopped onto the stage next to her brother, then turned toward the gathered dolls. All of them immediately stared at her, admiration in their eyes, "hi Ivory!" They greeted in unison.

Ivory waved to them shyly, she managed to see Mandy hide her glasses under her desk before her brother began to talk. "All of you may know my little sister Ivory". Lou said gesturing to her, "she will be helping with training today". "I know that all of that may seem scary, but remember this is your soul purpose as a doll, now let's begin, shall we?"

Ivory walked away from the stage remembering what Lou had said to her while she was busy testing the other dolls. "Ivory, I need to talk to you." He had said. Ivory had of course obeyed her brother and followed him a distance away from the others "Ivory I'm trying to protect you." He had told her, desperation in his blue eyes.

"You don't know what's in the pipes, you could find something that could hurt you." He warned her. Ivory rolled her eyes in exasperation, "I can protect myself Lou, I've been training with the Spy Girls, they taught me self-defense. Plus, I could easily outthink my opponent". Ivory explained confidently.

She searched her brother's gaze, but he gave nothing away. Lou sighed, "I know you can I just..." He paused looking as if he couldn't bear the thought of what he was thinking. "I don't want to lose you; I can't live without you." He whispered, Ivory's eyes had widened the size of her palms, Lou really thought that? Her gaze softened, "Lou, you will never lose me". She promised, placing a hand on Lou's shoulder.

He smiled softly, "Thank you Ivory, I love you little sis". He whispered, gently hugging her.

Ivory let a small spread across her face, as she looked around for The Spy Girls and Mandy. "You are not a model tryryryyryyrgrhdhhsvfb tell my family I love them".

Ivory was shocked to hear the sound of the scanner malfunctioning; she was even more shocked to see dolls she didn't recognize. They didn't look anything like her or the other dolls in the institute. There was a pink one, a blue one, orange one, grey one, and a red one. The pink one had a wide smile across her face, she heard all the dolls around her scream in in terror, Ivory rolled her eyes. They're all so dramatic, but none of them are any kind of doll I've ever seen before except for... she shook her rapidly no don't think of him, that was years ago.

She at last found Mandy and the spy girls a little way away from the scanner, she walked toward them but stayed a distance away so she could hear what they were saying without them seeing her. She heard the red one say, "huh must be a customary greeting here. Ah!". He screamed at one of the dolls until she fainted.

She saw the four colored dolls walk up towards the screen, "over there! And nothing I mean nothing is going to stop us now!" The pink one exclaimed. "Ew what are those?" Ivory heard Kitty say in disgust. "Is that supposed to be some kind of doll?" Lydia asked. "Lou and Ivory are so not going to like this". Tuesday added.

Who said anything about me not liking them? "Absolutely not, they're going to be like, "we do not like this. Ew ew ew". Kitty attempted at impersonating her and Lou. "Oh, my goodness Kitty! That is such a good Lou and Ivory impression!" Tuesday complimented. Ivory snorted in amusement, yeah right that didn't even sound like me! I would also never say that. "I know right?" Kitty said proudly.

They all turned their eyes to Mandy expectantly, "uh I know to, right?" She anxiously agreed. The Spy Girls looked disgusted as they rolled their eyes. Poor Mandy. "Excuse me girls, who's Lou?" The doll with brown hair and a green stripe through it asked, Nolan was his name. Kitty put her hands up in an offended way. A spotlight shone on Nolan as Ivory went to the side of the stage and leaned up against it, she had a feeling what was going to happen next.

"Who's Lou?" Kitty repeated sternly. "Were you born yesterday?" "Um, yes". Nolan replied it looked like he was searching for a correct way to answer. "Look. Listen. And Learn." The spy Girls said in unison, they put their hands up, then a spotlight shown on top of a staircase, revealing Lou's silhouette.

"Lou! Lou! Lou!" All the dolls began to chant her brother on, Ivory rolled her eyes. "I love you Lou!" Tuesday exclaimed. "Freebird!" Someone else yelled. Then as Ivory suspected her brother began to sing.

Does he always have to make such an entrance? Her brother approached the multicolored dolls, "look at you, look at you, look at you I ain't seen nothing like you before I mean, words fail me, I mean I'm tongue-tied I mean I'm speechless, baby what's a thing like you doing in a place like this? I gotta tell ya, girl, you're pretty (Pretty ugly)".

Anger swirled into Ivory's heart, but she knew deep down this would happen. Lou hopped back down towards the multicolored colored dolls, "I really do feel bad for you, but kids just don't want ugly so, I'm not sure where you belong but it's not here."

After Lou got done singing, Ivory hopped on stage next to him, the Spy Girls and Mandy walked closer to Lou from behind. The entire crowd of dolls began to cheer loudly, "that man can entertain, and emotionally devastate like no one else". She heard someone say.

The colored dolls looked devastated, "Come on Moxy, let's go home". The red one said. Ivory forced herself to look away. The grey one picked up all of Moxy's friends, "do you want me to carry you home to?" He asked, placing his hand on her head.

Moxy looked away from him sadly, "ok just let me know". He said walking away. Moxy gazed up miserably at Lou and Ivory, her blue gaze locked with Moxy's for a moment, then Moxy turned away, leaving Ivory to guiltily look at her shoes. "Hm bless their ugly little hearts". Ivory shot a glare at her brother; however, he didn't see it.

"Such a shame." He added. "It is kind of sad though." Mandy muttered; Ivory caught the Spy Girls glaring at her. "Of course, sad in like a totally totally shameful way, obviously..." Mandy looked away from the three girls.

Ivory bowed her head sadly I'm ashamed to be one of them. "You know what? We're not going anywhere!" Moxy said confidently. The entire institute even Lou and Ivory gasped. "Are you out of your mind? We don't belong here!" The orange one whisper yelled. "We've come this far". Moxy pressed on. "Um, come again?" Lou asked, who by now had hopped off the stage, Ivory of course next to him. You really thought they would give up huh? "We're going to train to go to the Big World, we're just as lovable as any of you! And we're going to Prove. You. Wrong!"

Moxy declared. Ivory's eyes widened, no one had ever tried to prover her brother wrong before. Lou gave one annoyed look, and started laughing, the other dolls soon joined him, except for Ivory, who had an annoyed look on her face while shaking her head and her arms crossed.

"If we decide to do this, shouldn't we tell Ox?" She heard the red one say. Ivory's eyes widened in pure shock, Ox? But it can't be. Finally, Lou held up his hand to tell the other dolls to stop laughing. "Ox? Who is Ox?" Lou asked in a voice where he clearly knew who he was. What's your game Lou?

"The founding mayor of our town! Where we live". The red one said proudly, putting his wings on his hips. "So... there's a whole town of... uglies?" Ivory clenched her teeth, barely managing to stop herself from saying a snappy response. "It's called Uglyville."Moxy corrected. "I guess they're into literal naming". Lydia said.

"None of it matters, ok? Only pretty dolls can run the Gauntlet, and rules are rules". Since when? "What rules?" Moxy challenged, crossing her arms. Lou was speechless until a robot brought the rule book and said, "Did someone say rules? It says right here in section 40-" Lou slammed the boom shut. Before he could say anything, Ivory interrupted him, "we'd love for you to stay!" Moxy's eyes lit up, "really?" "Of course! Right Lou?" She glanced at her brother coldly.

"Of course! What kind of amazingly benevolent leader would I be, if I denied fellow dolls a chance to fulfill their dreams?" Lou said. Ivory rolled her eyes. "Ivory, Mandy show our special guests their quarters, may I suggest the supply suite?" Lou instructed.

Ivory was surprised that her brother told her to help them, but she didn't argue. "Sweet". The grey one said. Mandy walked next to Ivory as they led the dolls away, she caught a glimpse from the corner of her eye Lou gesturing Moxy to come closer, all she heard was "because it doesn't get better than this." What are you up to Brother?
