Jungle Pt. 1

Zack, Carmen, Ivy, and I were riding through a rain forsest, "I haven't seen a single drive-through! I'm gonna faint from hunger here!" Ivy scoffed, "Just think of something other than takeout, like... Stakeout." "Reminds me too much of meat." "As in, casing a joint? You know, like the night we first met Carmen."

"Right! She was casing the same joint. Who'd ever guess a South Boston donut shop would be a front for supersecret crime empire?" Zack gagged and I looked at him worriedly, "Donuts baked by V.I.L.E sure do taste vile. Blech!"

"Ha! There. You can thank me now for ruining your appetite." Ivy tugged on Zack's ear and he slapped it away, "Right there. Player's intel was spot-on. It's a Dr. Saira Bellum R&D lab."

The car stopped, "Something tells me R doesn't stand for 'rubies'."

"And D don't stand for 'dollars' or 'donuts'."

Carmen got out of the jeep and got her jacket on as Jack laughed, "Whoa, Carm and Crow. You guys wearing coats? In this heat?"

Ivy hopped out of the jeep, "It's like, 110 degrees."

Carmen turned around and opened her jacket, showing tools, "A lady needs her tools."

Zack looked at me, "Alright. So, Crow, why're you wearing a hoodie in the heat?"

"I... Uh... L-Lucky hoodie. never take it off! Heh.."

It was technically the truth... The hoodie is lucky. For me at least... As long as I have this hoodie on I have freedom, and if it means getting overheated then thats a small price to pay for freedom.. We hid in a bush near a building, "Plan A: Bring out red drone." Ivy got out a red metal ball and tossed it as it turned into a red drone. The drone turned to us and Ivy spoke, "Red drone has a visual."

The drone then turned and went in from the top, "And in she goes." Zack looked at Ivy, "Wait, hold on. Red Drone's a she?" Ivy smiled, "Red Drone's awesome, of course she's a she." A few seconds later Zack spoke, "State of the art! Hey, how can anyone walk around in there with laser beams pointing all over the place?" Carmen stood up from her crouching position, "Nobody's home." Carmen then talks into her ear piece, "Your turn, Player."

As the back door opened we walked in and red drone flew towards us and turned off, Ivy caught it and put it away. We walked into a room that looked like the rooms I would be tested on a lot, "No guards, no lab techs," She placed her hand on a cup, "Still warm. They just left." Zack picked up a rice bowl, "Who doesn't finish lunch? Well, more rice bowls for me." Carmen quickly snatched the rice bowl before Zack ate it, "Zack, these aren't rice bowls. They're petri dishes filled with rice, covered in some sort of..." Carmen sniffed the rice, "Fungus."

"Dude, like mushrooms?"
