This is a horrible fic I'm so so sorry. MiniStar is the main ship. Once again, I am so sorry for this.

Simon POV

The sound of my tablet beeping woke me up.

Tasks

1. Clean oxygen filter
2. Clear asteroids
3. Download data 1/2
4. Scan at medbay

I groaned loudly. Downloading data took FOREVER.

On my way to O2, I bumped into my colleague, JJ. He wore his usual black space suit but I could see his face through his helmet.

All of us on the ship were friends but the colours helped identify each of us. For example I'm Yellow.

"Fam watch where you're going!" He said in a harsher tone then usual.

I stopped in my tracks. "What's up? Why are you so on edge today?"

JJ sighed. "I don't know... there's something wrong here. I can feel it."

I thought it was weird but I didn't want to listen to JJ ramble nonsense for an hour then laugh in my face saying it was a prank.

Just as I was finishing my first task, a deafening scream send shivers through my body.

"HOLY FUCK LADS!" Ethan yelled so loud he could have been heard back on Earth.

I rushed over to his voice that seemed to be coming from security. When I got there, I wasn't only met with the crew, but a dead body. JJ's dead body.

He lay sprawled out on the floor with a giant wound in his chest, slowly pouring with blood.

"Oh my god..." Vik started, his voice failing him.

"Alright, who the fuck did this?" Harry near enough shouted.

"What, you think one of us... killed him?" I said in disbelief.

Of course that disbelief was short lived. We were the only ones on the ship.

"Look, we cant throw accusations around!" Josh, who had been silent until now said. "I think we're all in shock right now, and for all we know, he could have had an accident or something..."

I knew he didn't believe the words himself, but he was right to calm the situation down.

Only Tobi hadn't spoken yet. He just stood there in shock, tear drops threatening to spill down his face.

Then we went back to doing our tasks. What else could we do? If we didn't do our tasks, we'd all be dead...

Josh and Ethan threw JJs body or the shoot, letting him float away into the abyss. It sounds horrible, but we couldn't let him rot on board.

My next task was asteroids. I walked past Vik on my way and he looked troubled.

"We'll figures it out," I promised.

"No... it's not that," he said, almost sounding embarrassed. "I'm scared to do my tasks in case... well something happens."

He had a point. "Wanna do tasks together?" I asked. "Pair up like old times?"

He nodded and smiled.

While I shot the asteroids, he fixed the wires.

Then I watched over him while he did navigation. And he watched as I did medbay.

I felt nostalgic doing tasks with Vik. During our first month on the ship, the command centre made us split into groups for tasks until we got the hang of them. Vik and I went together. JJ and Josh did and then Ethan, Harry and Tobi.
