__________________________________________________________________"It's okay." She said quietly, wiping the tears from her eyes.
"I didn't mean anything. And I swear I'm not playing with you like I said..." He said. "Sorry..."
He sneakily scooted closer to her, eventually rubbing shoulders. The elevator was silent and the air vents had quieted down, it was just Bakugou drinking a tiny sip of the bottle to quench his thirst that somehow wouldn't go away. His tongue felt like sand paper as he watched his friend sigh and lean against his shoulder. "I'm sorry for pointing a gun at you."
"I think it was badass." He chuckled. "...I was trying to scare you, so you did the right thing."
She closed her eyes and the tears had come to a stop, the arguing and drinking and crying and apologizing had left her tired. She slept away on his shoulder that day or night, who knows, time was non existing.
She awoke with Bakugou's jacket on her body, she stared at the ceiling and gasped when there was a hole. She saw his feet poking out and he has safely landed back inside the elevator. "What are you doing?" She asked while she yawned.
"I managed to get on top of the elevator but it's no use. My quirk is still useless." He huffed.
She laid back on the hard floor, "Do you know what time it is?"
"No fucking idea." He replied. "What I do know is that it has to be Sunday right now."
Sitting up, her stomach growled and Bakugou had sat beside her. "I was saving these for when we couldn't handle being hungry anymore." Bakugou pulled out two granola bars from his pocket. She smiled and he tossed her the strawberry one. They ate in silence as the light in the elevator flickered. Bakugou eyed the suitcase and took a bite of his bar.
"...Hey...F/n."
"Hmm?" She asked.
"....Why do you wanna kill yourself?" He asked so casually she choked on her food.
"What? What do you mean?"
"Don't play dumb." He said nonchalantly. "The note pad and pencil is your suicide note, the pills are just in case you wanna change your mind, the liquor is your last drink, and the gun is what you're gonna use to kill yourself."
He had seen right through her this time, the tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife. She looked at the wall beside her, away from Bakugou. "That's none of your business."
"But it is." He glared. "I think its pretty fucking selfish for you to do that."
"What are you talking about selfish?" She glared back. "Thats the last thing you would wanna say to someone who—"
"But its true." He said, "The hell would I do if you weren't here? I won't be able to look forward to the future anymore-"
"You'll be fine."
"No. I won't." He argued. "You actions have consequences, consequences that affect other people. You're not getting rid of your pain you're just being an asshole and passing it onto some else, like me." He teared up. "You wanna know how awful I feel? The shit I said to you while we were drunk? And you were just gonna opt yourself? What if I didn't apologize?"
"None of this is your fault regardless. You were never involved."
"Yeah, well thats how everyone is gonna feel when you're gone. Like it was our fault." He placed his bar down, "Why? Why are you doing this to yourself? Is someone hurting you?"
She sighed. "You don't have to apologize from what we did yesterday. When you said those things to me, I was defensive and violent because...you were right. I'm quirkless, I don't know what I wanna do when I'm older, I'm not really good at anything, and I'm a single, loser in my 20's. I don't have anything to contribute into this world..."
"So you're gonna kill yourself?" He sobbed. "You just got into your early 20's so its natural for you to not know what you're gonna do when you're older."
"And what if I don't ever know what I wanna be?"
"That's just how life goes, dumbass. If theres one thing you're good at, its making me feel sane all the fucking time..." He wiped his tears with his elbow. "...Could say you make me feel...happy...or something..."
She smiled as he scooted closer. "...I...like you a lot...and you have so much to live for..."
He played with his fingers. "...Maybe you should start seeing yourself in my perspective..."
He finally looked her in the eyes. "Because you're perfect...Even your 'shitty qualities' are what make you so amazing..."
"Thank you, Katsuki." She leaned against him. "Thank you."
"...When we get out I'm gonna lock you in my room."
He had engulfed her in a hug and felt relief to feel her warm hands rub against his back. The hug was intense, she had sat on hip lap to continue their embrace. "...Katsuki."
"Hmm?" He said, still tightly holding onto her.
"What you said when...when we were drunk..." She mumbled. "About you loving me."
