"this is the north drain. it should've gotten washed into the gully. so, if it got flushed from this drain, it would've been pushed out to, like-" JJ explained to the Pogues once they all reached the drains to find the gun Ward had lost the night before.
"somewhere in this trash." Pope finished his sentence looking at the mess.
"correct."
Kiara sighed at the sighed of the trash in the water, "oh my God. people who use plastic should be shot."
"okay, personally, i love plastic. use it everyday. love the stuff." JJ told the girl starting to pick up trash.
Caroline looked at her boyfriend furrowing her eyebrows at him, "yeah and because of it all the animals in the ocean and around the world get injured and die from it, why do you think we have a marine hospital here?"
"okay, hopefully, you recycle it and don't let it flush into the ocean." Kiara told him, JJ stammered at the two girls looking back to the trash.
"i thought you'd say something like that, so.. trash bags." Pope smiled lifting up rolled bags showing his girlfriend.
"did you just proactively protect the environment?" Kiara asked.
"maybe." Pope glanced at her.
Caroline turned to JJ the two having the same weird look on their faces, "are we like that?" she asked.
"no, i don't think so." he said to her then looked at the two, "you want us to leave you two alone, or what's going on?"
Pope chucked the trash bags at JJ's chest which he caught, "pick up the trash."
Kiara stood proudly at the boys as Caroline laughed at her walking down to the water helping JJ open the bags and dump the trash in there. since it wasn't much they finished quickly and tossed the bags over to the dirt.
"well that was fun." JJ wiped his forehead setting the last bag down.
"if it's not in the trash, then it's gotta be somewhere in the storm drain." Pope mentioned motioning to the train.
"it's in.. it's in the drain." JJ nodded.
"shit." Caroline pulled her hair into a ponytail looking at the drain.
"damn it."
"of course it is."
"good thing i brought the crow." JJ rummaged through his bag.
