Harry stood on the side of the room watching his friends and band mates have fun singing karaoke. The blond girl on his arm has not left his side all night. He felt like he was some kind of accessory that made her look better. Which was probably true but Harry didn’t really care.
Harry let out a laugh as he watched the boys goofing around, though his eyes fell upon the brunette across the room. She was dressed in a simple band t-shirt and jeans but she looked stunning. She had a glass in her hand as she was watching his friends with a small smile on her face. That smile was not sarcastic or fake, it was genuine A smile that reached her eyes.
It was probably the first time that he had seen her smile like this. He was glad she was enjoying herself. Harry let out a small chuckle remembering how hard he had tried to talk her into coming to the after party.
Harry made his way across the big stage at the Madison Square Garden Venue towards the brunette who was too busy with her work to pay attention to anything that was going around her and that didn’t involve her.
“Hi there!” Harry greeted her, his signature cheeky smile on his face.
Emma glanced up before looking back down at the box full of wires that she was rummaging through.
“oh, It’s you again” She said bluntly, clearly showing him that she did not like him nor did she wanted to talk to him, but Harry just brushed it off, he found her quite amusing and quite challenging.
“So what are you doing tonight?” Harry asked, jumping on one of the amps on the stage that were next to Emma.
“Not you obviously” Emma replied sarcastically. Harry burst out in laughter at Emma’s answer. Emma shook her head, letting a small laugh past her lips.
“No but seriously, what are you doing tonight?” Harry asked.
“Why do you want to know?” She asked him raising her head up to look him.
“Just wanted to know if you are coming to the after party!” he told her shrugging.
“I’m not going” she told him.
“Why not?” Harry asked. He was quite disappointed that she was not coming but he was determined to get her to come. He wanted her there.
“Because I don’t want to. And having to spend time with people that annoy the shit out of me? No thank you!” she told him, “I get enough of that here”
“So everyone annoys you?” Harry asked with an amused look on his face.
“Not everyone, I mean the old people are alright but some of the people I have to work with are just plain annoying” Emma told him.
“Am I one of them?” Harry asked.
“What?”
“The people that annoy you, am I one of them?” Harry asked again.
“Yes” She answered him bluntly.
“Why?” Harry asked her curiously. He wanted to know what it was about him that annoyed Emma
“Because even after I fucking told you that I don’t want to be friends with you nor do I want to talk to you, you still come here and annoy the shit out of me.” Emma told him feeling quite irritated.
“Never realized that.” Harry told her, “So are you coming to the after party?” Harry asked her even though he already knew the answer.
