Sanji POV
"Fuck, I can't just leave them out there."
Sanji was continuing to pace the kitchen floor as he thought about Usopp and the moss head out in the water during this storm. (Although mostly Usopp since he didn't care for Zoro much at all) "DAMN IT!" Sanji yells running to Usopp's workshop. Inside he finds a rope and runs out to the deck.
The wind blows rapidly as Sanji fights to stand. He ties a small weight to one end of the rope and the other end he ties to the railing. As thunder crashes above he throws the rope overboard and runs back to the kitchen. Locking himself in.
Usopp POV
After finally reaching Zoro, Usopp kicks up to the surface with all his might. As he bobs on the waves he makes sure to keep Zoro's head above water. Sea water splashes into his face as he tries to breathe, causing him to choke a bit. Struggling, Usopp sees the rope hanging wildly from the ship. He takes one more salty breathe and uses the rest of his strength to get to the rope. "Damn, I can't climb this." Usopp choked on a bit more water and stared at his unconscious friend. "Why couldn't I be strong like him."
Looking up to the Going Merry with determination, Usopp grips the rope. He positions Zoro in front of him so he could hold the rope with both hands without dropping the larger man. Slowly but surely, he begins to climb.
The weight from Zoro begins to weigh on him almost a third of the way up. The wind slashing at his face made his eyes sting but he had to keep them open. As he continued to struggle up the rope, his hands tore apart more and more from the rough rope. By the time Usopp reached the rail it was attached to, his hands were covered in blood. Seeing the sight made him slightly queasy but he managed to swing Zoro over the side so he could crawl over the railing. Landing with a thud on the wood floor, Usopp stretched his arms out, blood still pooling from his hands. He took one last look at Zoro before slipping out of consciousness.
Back to Sanji
Sanji could hear two loud thuds come from the deck and quickly unlocked the kitchen door. He peaked out at the storm to see Usopp and Zoro passed out on the deck, Usopp's hands surrounded in pools of blood. "Fuck."
Sanji ran out and grabbed the two with the best of his abilities. The wind was not making it easy on the blond. Grunting, he dragged the two limp bodies to Chopper's room. "Damn idiots, one moss head who can't take in a bit of water and another who was stupid enough to jump in after him. Not to mention the captain who thinks its a good idea to sleep on the head of the Going Merry."
After an hour of Chopper freaking out, the situation had finally settled. Everyone was stable and even the weather had calmed down. Nami and Sanji went back to their normal activities.
"NAMI-SWAAAAAANNNNNN!" Sanji almost screamed as he danced out of the kitchen. Nami, who was sun bathing on the deck let out a loud sigh. "I made a nutritious garnet apple cocktail just for you!!!!!!" Even just handing her the drink seemed to give Sanji a nosebleed. "Thanks a lot Sanji, I really needed this!" She smiled at the hopeless romantic. He nearly died on his way back to the kitchen.
Back to the actual story
Usopp was the first to wake up. He woke up coughing but otherwise seemed alright. After Chopper checked him out to make sure he was fine, Usopp was allowed to leave. However, shortly after Usopp left Zoro woke up screaming.
"LUFFY!"
Chopper jumped up out of his chair and almost screamed as well.
"ZORO! ARE YOU TRYING TO GIVE ME A HEART ATTACK!? ME! THE DOCTOR!?"
Chopper stood there breathing hard and clutching his chest as Zoro apologized to the small reindeer. Usopp burst through the door and looked around at the two. He smiled at Zoro seeing that he was awake.
"Zoro, could you be any more noisy?"
Usopp laughed lightly which lightened the tension in the room a bit. Luckily for Zoro, no one else had heard him. Sanji was too busy cooking, which already made enough noise, and Nami was out on the deck far enough away from Chopper's room not to hear. Zoro glared at the boy standing in the doorway.
"Shut up long-nose."
Chopper shut out the conversation because he was too worried about Luffy. "How could he still be asleep after all that noise? " However, Chopper's attention soon changed to Zoro's strange wakeup. "Could that have been a part of the secret?" Chopper quickly grabbed Usopp's arm to get his attention. Usopp bent down so the little reindeer could whisper in his ear. Chopper told Usopp what had happened and how he thought it related to Zoro's secret. Usopp sighed.
"Hey Chopper, I doubt Luffy's gonna get up any time soon so could you give me and Zoro a moment?"
Chopper looked confused but he nodded and walked out of the room.

FanfictionThis uses One Piece characters (which I don't own) and it is also a Zolu fanfic. This is going to be set at round episode 90/100 because that's where I'm at in the series right now. Basically Robin, Franky, and Brooke aren't crew members yet. Anyway...
