Prompt: A sparrow catalogues it's day flying through New York City (or any other city that you know).

A/N: So since I've never been to New York City, I'm going to take another one. Enjoy!

I always found these creatures intriguing. I think they call themselves 'humans'. They even self-proclaimed themselves most evolved species on Earth. Please, don't make me laugh, they can't even fly without the help of those weird shaped birds that don't even flap their wings. They are so intertaining. One of my favorite hobby is to perch on low hanging branches in those places they call park and watch them. The smaller ones like to shout random words at me. I sometimes try to teach them how to pronounce the words correctly, but they are not really good learners! Well atleast they try. Not like the bigger ones.

The bigger ones either love or hate me. They will either throw food or rocks at me and let me tell you it's not always easy to see what they are holding in their weird shaped claws. But atleast today my two favorites big humans are here. They always give food to me and other birds and animals. And not only pieces of rotten bread like most of the other do. Don't they know that we can't eat that? I tried over and over again to tell them but they never listen. Today they have sunflower seeds! My favorite. I'm trying to get as much as I can before the other birds see them. Once they are done giving out free food, they go on their way and I perch myself on a tree nearby.

That is when I see another human with this big black box. They always put it in front of their face and point it at me. Sometimes a small sun appears for an instant in front of the box before disappearing. I can see him getting closer and closer while trying to be sneaky. How loud they are and they don't even notice! Today I feel generous, I will stay a bit longer here, switching stances a bit. Maybe even stretch my wings a bit too. They always seems so happy when I do that before flying off. Maybe I can even fly right above them, I feel really generous today. What sunflower seeds can make me do!

Another spot I like to go it one of those cold trees without leaves. They changes colors from green to yellow to red and the humans seems to need those colors to move around in those moving boxes. No matter how much time I spend here, trying to figure out why they are doing whatever they are doing, I just can't understand. If only they would fly like all of us, it would be much more easier for them to move around. Oh well, whatever works for them I guess.

And what I like the most about those naked trees is that they are in the middle of all the action. I can see so many things here. I can see this human on that bench for example. They are looking sad. I don't really understand why since they have those beautiful flowers in they claws. Maybe I could try to comfort them. I fly to the bench, perching myself on the opposite side of them and I do that little singing that they seem to enjoy so much. They turn around and look at me. I think they are doing that thing with their face that they do when they are happy. They reach for something in their legs. It's a small piece of food. I really don't understand how they can store food in their legs but I love it so much. They put it as close as me as they can and look at me. I feel like I can trust them so I go get the piece of food and eat it while looking at them. Once I'm done they stand up and I look at them going to two other humans, they talk their gibberish and give the flowers to one of them. They all looks happy and grateful and they all go on their way. It's cute, I guess this is their way of showing affection. Instead of building nest or dancing or bringing food, they give flowers.

Humans are such a mystery, but they give food and some even plant trees that grows fruits so I can't complain! And they are so intertaining to watch too!

A/n another really small story, I don't have lots of inspiration... It's getting hard to write every week. But I am not giving up! I will stop putting pressure on myself to write long stories and just enjoy writing a little something for you to read. I have a lot on my mind right now and I don't need to make this fun challenge something too hard. Oh well, I hope you enjoyed this little story about this little bird!
