A/N: For the sixth story, I am breaking my pattern of OC/Fanfic/OC/Fanfic... Two Ocs in a row! My brain is like, nooo you have to do a Fanfic now! Even if i don't... But like... You know? Oh well, let's do this!

Lucy was following the never-ending line of her coworkers. Today was the begining of a new trimester, so they were about to get their new assignment. She was walking as slowly as possible, maybe if she was the last one, they would close the door before she went in and she would be free to do nothing for a change? But Flo, her only friend, spotted her, put her arms around her shoulders and pulled her forwards while whispering in Lucy's ear ''You are not leaving me alone in this!'' She gave her friend a small smile and followed Flo's lead.

They took a spot at the far end of the room, right beside one of those big collumn, trying to be as invisible as possible. The old lady standing in the middle of the stage raised her hands to get everyone's attention ''Thanks everyone for coming in today! There is a lot of new faces also! Let me explain how this is going to go!''

''Urrgh! I need a smoke or something!'' Lucy whispered to Flo ''You never smoked before, why start now?'' ''Because I can't stand that little chit chat about how we get assigned to our new job anymore!'' Flo rolled her eyes ''It's not good for you and good luck finding one here!'' ''Well it's not like it could kill me or something!'' Lucy said the last part a bit too loud, earning her some angry looks from the other ghosts around her. Yes ghosts, did I forget to specify? They were all getting their new haunted spot assignment. Some places were more entertaining to haunt, so they established this system of rotation between the differents locations. Some would stay at the same spot for a while if they got attached to a person or a family, but most of the time, they would switch every three months so they don't get too bored.

After the endlessly long introduction speech, they finally get to know their assignment. Flo got lucky and was off duty since she made such a good job at her last spot. Lucy didn't have that luck. She got the Haunted Hotel one with nine other ghosts. And the worst part is there was three new ghosts with them. Why did she had to end up with the noobs. Or with other ghosts. Why couldn't she get the haunted forrest for once. Chilling in the wood until one human walk by, jump in to scare them and that's it. NO, she had the get the haunted hotel. The one every living people are talking about. Now she had to actually do her job to not get yet another lecture about how serious and important her job was. Before she went to meet her new group, she grabbed her friend's arm and whisper ''Do you want to...'' ''No! Have fun, bye!'' She said, setting her arm free and walking away. She really slowly walked towards the group. They were all chatting and seemed so excited. Great... An old ghost pointed at her with his chin, making the three young ghosts look at her. They all waved happily, inviting her to come closer ''HI! I hope you won't mind, we already started to make a plan while we were waiting for!" one of the noob said happily. This was going to be along trimester.

They were all discussing what they would do while walking to their location. Lucy wasn't really listening until one of the oldest ghost tapped her shoulder ''Hey! We asked if you had other clothes?'' she gave him that confused look and he sighed. One of the youngest jumped in ''We wanted to go for a 12th century theme! Awesome right?'' Lucy looked at all the others, trying to find another one that didn't want to do this, but they all seemed so excited about it ''I can see what I can do...'' Once they reached the hotel, the group asked what she would do ''Well... Find some kind of old dress and... I don't know, the usual. Slaming doors, cold spots, going through walls...'' They were all looking at her, waiting for her to elaborate, but when she didn't, they sighed and kep ttalking about what they would do. It wasn't the first or the last time this happened. She never was the most enthousiastic spirit after all. She found a small room with a great view and decided that it was her room for the next few months. It was all he way down a really long hallway, she thought that nobody would go all the way to this room.

A few weeks passed and nothing happened, no visitors so it was great. Until she heard one of the new ghost scream in happiness ''THEY'RE HERE!! OH WOW! I CAN'TBELIEVE IT! THEY ARE HERE!'' Everyone gathered around the big window in the hotel entrance. Ghost hunters. They all voted for a meeting right away to discuss what they are going to do about them. Should they reveal theirselves? Or keep it low until they leave? The bosses never really talked about those things. It was really hard to tell if it was okay to reveal that ghosts exist. To Lucy's dismay they all agreed to do a little in front of the cameras. Nothing much, but just enough to make them doubt if this place was really haunted or not. They all turned their heads to Lucy, staring her down, waiting for her to say something ''... well yeah, I mean I guess I can do some doors slamming when they pass by...'' They all seemed satisfied, but what Lucy didn't say is that she will do this when the cameras will be off. Or maybe even actually turn some off. It was really funny to mess with the livings! It was one of the only thing she actually liked.

She messed around when one of the hunter was alone and the face he made! It was perfect! Unfortunatly, they left after two days and they were all back to waiting for someone to pass by. And oh did people pass by. They scared so many people when the trimester ended, they all got a well deserved three months off. Even Lucy did some really god haunting. When she put herself into it, she is one of the best!

She was in the main room, chilling around, enjoying her time off when a familiar face walked in. She waved at the man and he went to sit next to her ''Hey there,Gloomy! How are you doing?'' ''I'm fine, thanks. How about you?''Lucy explained that she did a great job with the others and finally got a holiday! After all those years, she did it! Gloom was really impressed, he actually thought she was skipping her assignment like always when he saw her here ''Hey! I'm not that bad of a ghost! And what about you? There is a lot a new faces here. Did you mess up your job and made them all come here instead of over there, in the Afterworld?'' ''HEY!! I'm not the only bad Angel of Death, okay!?'' They talked for a bit until Gloom had to do leave to do his job. Lucy sticked around a bit longer and when she was about to leave, someone sat right in front of her ''HI!'' one of the newbie that was with her at the hotel ''Do... do you mind if I ask you some question? About the haunting and everything?'' Didn't she had other ghosts to bother? Why her from all the other ghosts!? Lucy was about to walk away, but this youngling was giving her the puppy eyes and...Lucy let out a really loud and long sigh ''...What do you want to know?''

A/N: I also put the prompt of the new ghost being nervous about their first haunting. So maybe we will see this old grumpy ghost again as a side character!
