Chapter 26

"Tehrror I don't feel well..."

Tehrror woke up to and was a little groggy, but once Ivy's words registered in his head he shot up and looked at her.

"What! What's wrong is it the baby?" He asked.

Ivy groaned in pain and flipped the blanket off her and saw a huge puddle of blood between her legs and all over the bed.

"Tehrror... I... feel dizzy." She whimpered.

He scooped her up into his arms and carried her to the door and then shimmered her and himself to the basement door quickly typing into the pass lock and then shimmered her into the clinic laying her down on the metal table.

"HELP!" Tehrror shouted.

Xander and Layla were chatting in his office and came rushing into the room.

"Oh my goddess what happened?" Layla asked covering her mouth in horror.

Xander went into action yelling at Layla for her help, snapping her out of her panic.

"We aren't prepared for this, but we will do our best." Xander quickly stated trying to reassure everyone.

"It's going to be okay." Tehrror purred brushing Ivy's hair out of her face, not hearing a word anyone said.

She smiled up at him kissing the back of his shaking hand.

"I love you so much, promise me you will love our baby as much as you have ever loved me."

Tehrror had tears building in his eyes, "Of course I will love her, but right now I need you to fight Ivy, fight with everything you have, you need to be here with me... I need you here! Our daughter is going to need you here." He whimpered fighting back tears as his throat aches to let those painful whimpers out.

She smiled that smile he had grown to find so much comfort in over so many very long beautiful years, but now was profoundly painful,  "Your going to be the best father, my love."

"Stop talking like this." He cried, tears falling straight from his eyes and landing into Ivy's hair

"Okay Ivy your going to have your baby now, are you ready?" Xander asked.

"I'm ready." She said with tears rolling down her temples.

"I don't want to do this if your not in my life Ivy... I... I can't do this with out you!" Tehrror whimpered.

Ivy was breathing hard and painfully, "Don't do that... I need you to be strong now, Tehrror. I need you to promise me you can take care of our daughter because she is going to need you."

Tehrror's head fell into Ivys chest as he was losing strength, tears flowing like he never knew was possible, it felt like he had a damn explode from his chest and no matter how hard he tried to stop it the more tears he had. 

"No...no Ivy I need you, don't ask me to do this without you, you're the best part of my life and I'm nothing without you, I'm a worthless male without you... how can I be anything more, let alone a father?"

Xander had began doing an emergency cesarean, it was a lot different on vampires than humans and they were more common because of all the problems vampires had during labor.

"Tehrror I love you and I need this from you... please."

He had tears streaming down his face, even as he wiped his face the tears came faster, blurring the last moments he had with his beloved. "I promise, I will promise you the world if you please just don't leave me Ivy... I can't do this alone."
