Chapter 33

Payne showed up at Draven's' house much later than he said. He quickly adjusted his clothes and hair and knocked on the door, the door opened quickly. A small older female quickly answered it, she was one of the most sassy housekeepers Payne had ever met, made sense since she worked for Draven.

"Payne your very late!" She growled.

He smiled, "I know, I had some errands and a meeting that took longer than I expected, is Draven still around?"

"Of course dear, he is up in his office."

"Thanks." Payne said, with a big smile.

He walked inside and up the stairs and to Draven's office, he figured out which one it was quickly by the yelling. He knocked on the cracked open door.

"Ya... come in!" Draven yelled.

Payne heard him slam his phone down.

"We'll get in here!" He shouted again.

He walked in and Draven looked at him surprised.

"Well, I figured you were just not going to show up." He growled and leaned back in his expensive office chair running his hands over the fabric of the chair.

"Sorry, I had to get some stuff done first."

"Did you get that figured out then?"

"I did."

"So what is with all the paper work?" Draven asked as he looked at Payne's hand.

He was carrying a yellow folder full of papers.

"Oh, I need to show you this. I don't know why Xander never showed you." Payne said and sat down in the chair in front of Draven's desk.

"What is it?"

He handed over the folder, "It's about Ire, she is about to go through her eve and I didn't know if you want me to be around her when she does, but I wanted to let you be aware, you are the elder of her bloodline as fucking stupid as it, I can't help but respect it."

Draven smiled, "So if her father was here you would be asking his permission is that what your asking here?"

Payne rolled his eyes, "Your blessing more..."

"Once we get mated we will talk about it together but if it happens before then, I would hope you be okay with me being with your sister and ya know possibly being the father of your future nephews or nieces."

Draven looked it over and then shut it and set it on his desk.

"Are you well in doubt or always this cocky?"

Payne looked at him confused, "What?"

"You just asked to have sex with my little sister... and with my blessing of course, after i have told you how much I do not want you with her or near her and not to mention how times I have told you your not good enough for her and yet you will not give up and then you come in here with this and ask me the most obsidian questions... you have to be packing like a horse right?"

Payne looked at him shocked, "I can't say I have ever had complaints, but... I'm sorry what is happening?"

"I get it Payne, you care about my sister and obviously about what I think of you... however I don't have a choice in the matter. Your getting mated no matter what I say, my mate is threatening to leave me if don't get her back to you and she obviously fucking loves you so... I guess what the fuck does it matter."

Payne could see the inner battle Draven was having and felt for him. "I love her, I would choose her even if it wasn't because of the Sky Keepers request. I want to be with her till my very last breath, she is perfection and make light where ever she goes. And I know she doesn't see it, but there is this beautiful innocence about her and yet she is bold and daring and I need it. I need her in my life, I feel like my heart is being ripped from my chest knowing she is just on the other side of town and I can't at least just see her smile or hold her while she sleeps. Please don't think I'm doing this because I have to... I really truly love her and I just want your blessing to be mated to her for the rest of my life, having children with her is just an amazing extra."
