An ancient great house from Valyria which settled around the same time the Targaryens came to Westeros. After Aegon's conquest, they were named the Warden of the Peaks.
Their lands are located at the heart of Westeros. To the east of the twins above the Vale.
The Peaks are known for their rich textiles, their endless mines of the colour-changing Alexandrite stones and its fields of lavender. All this makes House Archaeon the richest house in the eight kingdoms.
The rest of Westeros would mistakenly assume that the people of the peaks are as soft as the silk the yield but in truth, they are brutal.
