Okay, you know that he was practically playing into your hand, but still. Just how more preposterous could he get?

"No! Are you kidding me?!" You yelled.

"Pretty please?"

"No! Y-You're a fugitive! The guards were chasing after you! I'm going to scream if you don't get out of here right now."

Something changes about him as he jumps up and ushers you into the kitchen. With a dark yet anxious voice, he whispered, "No, no, no, no, no. You don't have to do that."

Locking eyes, he puts a finger to your lips, effectively shutting you up. It was weird how he towered over you yet the both of you were the same height.

"If you do that, then I'll just blow this place up." He holds up a block of TNT with a crazed look in his eyes. You could almost feel your blood run cold. To be fair, you had no choice. You didn't have any weapons and he could blow you up faster than you could say 'help me!'

So much for that plan to make him stay long enough so the guards could capture him.

You clear your throat, letting a shaky breath. "F-Fine. J-Just put that a-away, please."

You could hear him snort a little as you looked to the mess that your kitchen was. Was this funny to him?

"Yay! I finally have somewhere nice to sleep!" He cheered, waving his arms in the air. The ginger-haired male clapped his hands together, eager to know about his accommodations.

However, he faltered, seeing the sad look on your face. You wanted to go see your parents so badly, but Isaiah told you to stay at your house because it was dangerous. But, the danger is inside your house!

Biting your lip, you looked to the mysterious male who was poking around in your set of furnaces. After some thinking, you suddenly ask, "Hey, um did you... w-were you the one who start those fires?"

He freezes and looks at you with an emotion you couldn't decipher. The atmosphere had become cold. Your inquiry brought up a rope of tension between the two of you and the ginger-haired male wanted more than nothing to tear it apart.

He gulped, feeling a lump in his throat. The guilt clearly manifested on his face and that gave you your answer, making your blood go cold.

"I-I didn't mean to!" He pleaded. "I put fireworks in there, I swear! I'm not a monster!"

Overwhelmed, you shakily took a step back. You both found yourselves trembling in fear from the same thing: him. Yes, even he was fearful of himself.

"Y-You hurt all of those people. Oh Notch, maybe some of them are... dead." Your voice became meeker as your mind settled on the worst possibility. You slowly bring your eyes back towards the culprit, tears daring to fall. "Y-You didn't kill anyone, did you?"

The orange-haired male could feel his heart thumping in his chest. He didn't like it. He didn't like the way his stomach churned at the thought of any of the townsfolk dying at his own hand. Sure, he hated this place with a passion even the people in it, but that can't explain what he was feeling, can it?

"Y-You're the one who's worried about your parents, right?"

"Y-Yeah..." He was there as you broke down crying for your parents, you realized.
