Reige

It was a one-fine morning, the atmosphere was a bit quiet and calm. The sun has already risen, everyone was starting their day again and the street are beginning to be busy as hell.

Holding my coffee mug, I looked up at the sky as I felt the cold breeze of the morning air. The hue of the golden sun and the cerulean sky together are so splendid. I blew the steam of my morning coffee before drinking it. Being like this makes me calm and forget about the troubles in my life.

But when I heard the sound of my alarm, my mood was ruined again. It reminds me that I need to go to school, in which I'll feel bored to death and stay with stupid and rude people for almost six to eight hours. And don't forget the series of being showered by different kind of beverages everytime the anti-Reige Collins club see me. Just great right?

"Ugh! I really hate school..." I mumbled as I left the veranda.

It took only more or less than 15 minutes for me to prepare before going to that hell again. I'm talking about the Kingston University, and I meant no offense to the people out there who loves going to school.

I looked at my wrist watch once again, only to find out that it's already 7:47 in the morning. So instead of taking a 20 minutes walk, I chose to hail a cab. Hindi sa ayoko lang ma-late, but I'm also not into walking today. Tinatamad ako.

Greetings, folks. I am known as Seven Reige Collins, but people who knew me call me Reige. And I can say that I don't have a normal life like anybody else in the street. Well, aside from having a weird name and an anti-fan club (eye roll), there's another reason for that.

I gripped the strap of my bag and heaved a long sigh before walking in. I hope that this day will be different from the boring ones.

I chose to ignore the people around me and walked straight into the hallway, but the noise coming from the students who gathered like a bunch of frogs in a pond caught my attention.

They were in front of a bulletin board, their judgy eyes were looking at the woman who has an angelic features and wearing a uniform of a PolSci student. She began to sob and walked out of there, the other students still looked at her with disgust and then whispers something to each other as she left. From where I stand, I still managed to see what was posted on the board. It was some scandalous photos of the woman earlier with different men. So that's it? A bit of curiosity and pity crept into my system. I'm not curious about the woman, but to the action of the students near that board. Why can't they just mind their own business instead of judging and fabricating different stories about others that can pull them down? Were they get paid by doing that?

People these days are really hypocrites. I read on our school paper about the students promoting and supporting Mental Health awareness, in order to save lives due to the increasing rates of suicides everyday. But look at what people are doing, they doesn't seem to care about the effects of their actions. Well, they never care about the misery of someone that he/she has to go through. They only care about themselves and on how they can spread stupidity and judge other people everyday. That's the other problem in this society aside from the corrupt politics out there. People will always judge you kahit pa nagpakatotoo ka na, kaya ngayon ay hindi mo alam kung saan mo ilulugar ang sarili mo, especially when it matters what other people say to you.

I shook my head as I continued walking in the noisy hallway, passing other students in their different worlds. There are some students who were talking about fancy things and socialities, others were flirting with each other in this very morning, and lastly, there are the students who were reading their textbooks with their branded highlighters.

When I reached our classroom, I heaved a long sigh.

Now the doom starts again...

That's what I thought when I sat on my designated seat.

I was about to take a short nap but my phone suddenly vibrated. It was a text message from my dear bestfriend from Spain.

From: Raven

You need to be here tomorrow Reige. It's an order from Lola.

At first, it made me raise a brow, but the left side of my lips went up after that.

It's been more than a year since then. I wonder what will happen if I get there.

I hope I will finish this na. Hehe
