Chapter 8
***Zayn's POV***
I picked Carliey up in my arms and carried her to my car. My blood was still boiling from last night. Why would someone talk to someone like that? Let alone beat them? I knew I had to ask her about it soon, but for now all I had to do was make sure no one could hurt her and take care of her. I've never done anything like this. I've never taken care of a girl. I've never even kissed a girl. I've never fell for a girl..
Perrie was just a publicity stunt. There were pictures of us kissing and it ticked me off because they were photoshopped. Every single one of them.
"What are you thinking about?" Carliey's voice sounded like an angels. I'm not even kidding. Carliey had this affect on me. She's so beautiful and it makes me mad. Yes. Mad. Carliey talked a lot and it got under my skin, but she always managed to make my heart skip a beat and take my breath away.
Carliey was that amazing, but why did I always hurt her? She didn't deserve it. No one deserved it, but I hurt them anyway. Carliey just had to be one of my victims..
"Zayn?" I could hear this voice all day.. "Are you just ignoring me now?"
"No." I cleared my throat. "No. I was just thinking. Sorry."
"What were you thinking about?" She asked tiredly. I looked down at her and she had her eyes closed and she was taking deep breaths. Carliey looked so peaceful, so angel like.
"Oh. Just th-things." I replied still looking at her body. She half smiled as her grip around my neck became less tight. "When I get home I'll give you a pair of my sweats and T-shirt to wear."
"Okay." She whispered as I opened her car door and sat her down carefully. "Zayn?"
"Hmm?"
"You were thinking about me weren't you?" Carliey's eyes were still closed. You could tell how tired she was.
"I told you.. I was just thing about some things. It's nothing to worry about." I tried to stay as calm as I could but I knew I was about to blow. "Okay," I questioned quietly as I kissed her cheek lightly.
"Okay," she agreed as she opened her beautiful eyes to stare at me. I gave her a quick smile as I shut her door lightly and ran over to my side of the car. Once I was in and had the radio going I drove away from the hospital. Songs played through the stereo, but Carliey never sung along. She just sat there looking out the window. Sighing, I turned the radio off and placed my hand on her right knee.
"Something's bothering you." I said. "I can tell."
"I'm just in pain," Carliey sighed as she looked over at me and placed her small hand over mine. "I'll be fine. You shouldn't worry so much." She faintly smiled at me as she turned the radio back on and placed her hand back over mine.
Carliey started humming to the song and soon started singing the song. "I never thought that you would be the one to hold my heart, but you came around, and you knocked me off the ground from the start," Carliey sung softly. "You put your arms around me, and I believe that it's easier for you to let me go. You put your arms around me and I'm home.."
"How many times will you let me change my mind and turn around? I can't decide if I'll let you save my life or if I'll drown." I sung the lyrics of the next part before Carliey could. "I hope that you see right through my walls, I hope that you catch me 'cause I'm already falling. I'll never let a love get so close, you put your arms around me and I'm home." By now she was looking at me with a faint smile on her face.
"I love you're voice. It's so..unique." she whispered as I turned the radio down.
"You really think that?" I asked.
