*ringtone*
Motioning his body, Aki massaged his weary eyes. He then grabbed his ringing phone which lied under the pillow. Eyeing to see the callers name, it happened to be an unknown number which he had not known. who could be calling him this late?
You woke up by the unexpected sound of a ringtone which happened to be Aki's phone. 'why would he receive a call this late?', you thought. Tracing Aki's features, he had a very confused like expression. You carried your weight up with your hands and sat yourself onto the bed comfortably.
"hey babe? is something wrong?", you questioned with curiosity.
"no, it's nothing, im just deciding on wether i should answer this unknown number", he replied, "do you think i should answer it?"
"yea, you probably should, it might be important", you responded.
He nodded his head in agreement as he got off the bed and headed to the balcony. He then answered the call and held the phone up close to his ear. He widened his eyes as he realised the voice of the person on the other side of the call.
"hello Aki, it's been awhile wouldn't you agree?"
"hello to you too makima, you do know what the time is right?", Aki questioned with a quirked brow.
Makima let out a chuckle, "yes i'm pretty aware of it, but it's important"

It's been awhile since Aki answered the call, it's sort of worrying you but you tried avoiding it. You played with you fingertips as you bit on your lips anxiously. The sound of footsteps approached, you assumed Aki had arrived, whereas you were right.
He had a saddened look on his face, which made you worry even more. Your eyes travelled down to his hand, he gripped onto his phone in a harsh manner. He then walked up to you and sat besides you on the bed.
"it was Makima"
You knew where this was going.
"well what did she want?", you questioned.
"she said she needs me for a mission", he stuttered in between his words.
Your eyes widened as you felt you bit your lips harder. It's been about 5 months since Aki had quit being a devil hunter. Bewildered that you would lose him one day, you couldn't stand him being one anymore. The reason also included personal issues.
