"Huh?"
A young man with short platinum blond hair muttered as he opened his eyes. Looking up at the purely white ceiling above him, causing him to furrow his eyebrows in response as it was not of his room. Making him slowly get up from the ground while holding his head.
He felt a massive headache assault his mind as he tried to remember what happened and where he was. But he only remembered that he fell asleep while playing games on his computer, causing him to roughly scratch his hair in response.
"Shit"
He cursed before he looked around, and saw nothing but the color white. To the point that it looked like the place, he was in had no edges or walls whatsoever. It was as if the space around him was stretching infinitely on all sides.
"... Am I in an asylum?"
He said to himself before he got up and turned his head around to try and look for anything. Any clue that he could use to deduct where he is right now, but the more he looked, the dizzier and nauseous he felt. Making him take a deep breath and try to digest his current situation.
"Fuck... I was just sleeping... how the fuck did I-"
"You look calmer than I expected"
A monotonous voice of a woman calmly said in his ear. Making him widen his eyes before suddenly jumping backward. Looking at the woman who appeared behind him out of nowhere with a wary look on his face.
"I expected everyone who arrive in this space for the first time to scream in terror and run around with their heads up their ass. It is a new experience for me to meet a young man as calm as you... especially when you're seeing unexplainable phenomena around you"
The woman, or more likely, a holographic woman said as she floated up in the air. Staring down at him with her dark blue eyes while she flew around him as if she was observing a rare specimen. The woman had no feet as her body seemed to glitch out from her calf down to her feet. Her skin was pale white which made it look like her skin was made out of plastic. Engraved on it were bright blue marks that pulsed with energy. Making the young man think that he was looking at an A.I. rather than a living being.
"Hmm... maybe this is the reason why you were deemed qualified by the Gods to join our little game"
"Who... no... what are you?"
The young man asked as he slowly got back up on his feet. Making the woman smile brightly before elegantly bowing in front of him to introduce herself.
"A pleasure to meet you... I am nothing more than a messenger of the Gods. You can think of me as the kind of administrator that manages all players of the game they created. I prepare every player with all information that they need before they are sent to the arena"
She said before she raised her hand in the air, causing millions of holographic screens to appear around them. Catching the young man by surprise as he looks around in a panic. Seeing different people experiencing the same scenario as him while clones of the woman in front of him were talking to each of them.
"Congratulation, human, for being selected by the Gods to participate in their grand game. As with any games that you have played in your sorry life, all players that were selected by the Gods would compete with one another until only one remains. The last remaining player would be the one to receive a prize from the Gods"
"... So you fucking dragged us here to play a game and entertain your so-called Gods?"
"My, I wonder why you sound offended? It should be an honor for you mortal beings to be able to serve the Gods that created you... Regardless, it's not like you have any choice. Once you have chosen, you only have two choices. Die or play the game. Is that clear or not?"
