It was only a matter of time until I had to go back home. I said my goodbye’s to Labon who actually shed a few tears even though he knew he would see me again during winter break when he sold carrots and yams. We got into our carriages that were a light blue trimmed with gold and pulled by white horses. Valencia tried to make the ride more bearable by playing children’s games like eye spy and card games but in the end I wanted the time to myself. I loved the country side way more than my mother or Valencia ever did. I could be free, run around and get dirty without anyone, other than Valencia, telling me it was un-princess like. I don’t believe that I was meant to be a princess but something bigger that no one knew what that was. I can feel it bubbling up inside me waiting to come out.

“Good morning ladies. My name is Jacques Moore. You may call me Mr. Moore. Not Mr. M or Mr. Jacque. Since you ladies are fifteen and almost sixteen, or already sixteen, it’s time to learn how to be proper princesses. I will be your teacher till you ladies are able to take your own throne when you marry princes from different nations. As you know at the end of the summer, when all of you have reached the age of sixteen, is when you will strut your skills at the Infinity Ceremony or Coming of Age Ceremony. Any questions so far?” He looked at the three of us. We all had older siblings that would take over the throne of our affiliated nations, in my case Valencia; even so we still had to go through the standard ceremony. There were 2 ceremonies every generation, one for when princesses turned 16 and one for when princes turned 17.
Jacques Moore was a very lanky man and not any taller than me. His brown hair seemed to fall in front face. It was short and swept to the side. He had a small moustache that curled at the ends. He wore a very interesting clothes consisting of red tights, white boots and a crème colored puffy shoulder shirt.
“Anyway ladies, before we start let’s introduce our selves. Since there are only three of you, this should go fairly quickly. When you explain yourselves say which kingdom you’re from, what your kingdom stands for, your full name and,” He stroked he moustache, “something about you that the normal person wouldn’t know about you.” When he finished he took a long look at each of us then continued. “Let’s begin! We will start with the young lady in the yellow dress.”
Standing up like she owned the world she fluffed up her frilled lemon dress. Using her white gloved hand she wiped away some of the crimson hair that fell in front of her heart shaped face. Grabbing everyone’s attention with her crystal blue eyes hovering above her peachy freckled cheeks she began to speak in a loud falsetto voice.
“Hi, my name is Trina Anne Mari Seville. I’m from the Trinity kingdom. It’s known for its trade, connection and socialization between the three kingdoms and outside nations.” She fixed her permed cropped hair again, “Something that people may or may not know about me is that I’m the most marvelous princess here and everyone is too jealous to say it.” She squawked with her ego inflated so big the whole kingdom could see it.
Mr. Moore clapped then glared at me and the other princess to clap with him. I sluggishly brought my hands together to make a clap.
“Very nice Miss. Seville,” Mr. Moore said.
“Thanks! I do my best as always,” She said giggling at her own amusement, “but please, call me Trina. I don’t really like being called my mother’s name.”
“That’s quite alright Miss. Trina. Ok your next,” He pointed at the girl next to me.
She stood up so elegantly. Her hair was up in a perfect bun with only a strand of hair on each side of her face for bangs. Her hair was midnight black and it did not match her mossy green eyes. She was wearing a misty blue kimono with a light peach sash tied in a bow on her back. She put her hands in front of her, one on top of the other, and slowly bowed.
