"Thank you" Tyra smiled a little as she had her food and made her way to a table with a book in her hand

"There you are, you vanished when I walked out" Mobius said as he sat next to her with his lunch

"Yeah sorry, Loki just knows how to push my buttons... it's just mixed opinions on it all, you know. He was my brother... is my brother... many other things as well" Tyra sighed

"You'll get through it, it just takes a while" Mobius nodded as they started eating

"I found something!" Loki said as he walked over to them

"I said don't bother me until you read all the files" Mobius said

"I have!"

"Every file?"

"Yes!"

"Pertaining to the variant?"

"The answer isn't in the files, it's on the timeline!" Loki said as he sat next to Tyra
"He's hiding in apocalypse!" Loki told them

"An apocalypse?" Tyra question

"If so, which one? Anytime in history? There is like a million of them" Mobius added

"Ragnarok" Loki and Tyra looked down but Loki grabbed her hand a little as he kept going
"Are you familiar?" Loki asked him

"Yeah it's the destruction of Asgard and most of its people, I'm sorry" He said

"Yes, very sad... anyway, it got me thinking!" Loki stated

"Go ahead" Mobius nodded

"Nexus events happen when someone does something they're not suppose to do, right?" Loki asked

"Well it's a little more complicated but yeah" Mobius nodded

"Great! In that thing they're not suppose to do and it cascades into a whole range of other things that aren't suppose to happen and so on and so forth until eventually a new timeline branches" Loki explained

"Where exactly is this going?" Tyra asked

"Just hold on" Loki told her
"Am I right though?" Loki asked Mobius

"Chaotic alterations of predetermined outcomes" Mobuis nodded as he summarised it

"Exactly so let's just say your salad is Asgard" Loki stated as he took Mobius' salad

"No" He whined a little
"Its not Asagrd, it's my lunch" Mobius stated

"You won't win" Tyra shook her head

"Exactly! It's a metaphor so hang on" Loki said
"So, I could go down to Asgard before Ragnarok causes its complete destruction and I could do anything I wanted to. I could, let's say... push the hulk of the rainbow bridge!" Loki stated as he then held up some salt and put it into the salad

"I mean you could try but 1) Hulk is stronger than you and 2) you are terrified of him" Tyra said

"Not helpful Ty. There he goes!" Loki said

"The salts hulk?" Mobius asked

"Apparently so" Tyra nodded

"And I could also... set fire to the palace!" Loki stated as he put some pepper into the salad

"No just stop, don't set fire to the palace" Mobius said

"I can do whatever I want to do and it would ever matter! It wouldn't go against the dictates of the timeline because-" Loki explained as he just finished filling up half the bowl with salt and pepper. He picked up Mobius' drink but realise it was empty
"I know not to touch yours" Loki muttered as he saw a glare from Tyra before a tiny smirk
"Excuse me!" Loki said as he got up

"Oh god! You!" Casey yelled as Loki picked up his drink

"I need to borrow this" He said before he ran back to his seat
"because, the apocalypse is coming!" He finally continued

"Oh no" Tyra laughed as she realised what he was about to do

"Ragnarok! Surter will destroy Asgard no matter what I do!" Loki said as he opened it up and pouring it into the salad

"No! Don't do" Mobius yelled before he sighed

"There is the apocalypse!" Loki said as he kept going

"That's the apocalypse?" Mobius asked

"Better luck next time" Tyra laughed

"Ragnarok obliterated the salt... Ragnarok! There it is!" Loki said, sounding super happy with himself

"What am I looking at?"

"A mess of your lunch" Tyra answered

"Okay it was a clumsy metaphor but you see what I mean? It doesn't matter, it could be any apocalypse! It could be a tidle wave, a meteor, a volcano, a supernova. If everyone and everything around you is destined for intimate destruction then nothing I say or do will matter" Loki said as he added more salt and pepper in after mixing the mess up
"Because the timeline will never branch because it gets destroyed! Hence, the variant could be hinding and do whatever he wants and we wouldn't know!" Loki said

"Not bad" Mobuis nodded slowly

"Take me to a real apocalypse, take me to ragnarok and I'll show you!" Loki said

"Yeah so you can run away back to your homeland? No"

"No we're not going home we can go anywhere!" Loki said enthusiastically

"I'm not taking you for a stroll along the promenade much less an apocalypse" Mobius argued

"Oh Mobius come on! What could possibly go wrong? We got to properly test this theory!" Loki said

"Well here is a theory, you lure me out to the field alongside your sister and then you stab us in the back and that's a theory I don't want to test" Mobius said

"I'd never stab anyone in the back! That's such a boring form of betrayal" Loki said as he looked really offended

"Loki I've studied almost every moment of your entire life, you've literally stabbed people in the back like 50 times" Mobius said

"Well I'd never do it again cuz it got old!" Loki said but Mobius just laughed while Tyra finished her drink off
"Okay if you don't trust me, you can trust two things! One, I love to be right! Two, my sister can tell you if I would betray you before it happens" Loki said

"You realise my powers do partly stop me from doing that again now?" Tyra said to him

"Well you can trust menon one thing, I love to be right" Loki said

"Fine, fine... I give in" Mobius said

"I'll come to ensure my brother doesn't escape and cause more trouble" Tyra said
