Alright so, I'm sorry i haven't posted in awhile, recently(and by recently I mean I started writing this back in like June and now feel obligated to finish it) I broke up with my boyfriend who I was friends with for years prior and now hes being a jerk to me, but i figured I'd kill two birds with one stone and write a oneshot kinda based off what kinda happened between us, so yea this one gets kinda angsty and you might see a lot of my traits and personality shine through.

I'm sorry it might take me awhile to get back into the swing of things, school just started back up and over the summer my mental health has not been the greatest, as I've taken many steps backwards with some things, and I've been running on two hours of sleep, 1-3 caffeinated drinks and 4 mental breakdowns a day

Tim and Conner are both 17

At first it had been so subtle Tim had barely noticed it, not responding to texts immediately he chalked up to Conner being busy, being too busy to spend time together he assumed was just missions and training taking up all of Conners time, but then it became too obvious to ignore. Not giving him hugs as often, not constantly asking how much he had slept or if he had had anything besides 5 cups of coffee that day. But still, Tim tried to ignore the signs, but eventually he just couldn't anymore.

Tim was sitting alone in his room, just staring at his phone. It was 3 a.m. He had sent Conner a goodnight text nearly 5 hours ago, around the time Conner would have been getting back from his mission, and he still hadn't texted Tim back. Tim knew from Cassie that everyone had made it back and the mission was successful, so he was concerned as to why Conner had not even responded to his message. He knew that Conner always checked his phone after missions for messages from Tim and to tell him he was ok, even when he was extremely tired, at least just a small update text to tell him he was alive, uninjured and going to bed, and that he loved him, so why was there no message this time? So many thoughts swirled in Tims head about what could be going on. Unfortunately the most prominent one was not a happy one. 'He doesn't love you anymore.' Tim shook his head, in an attempt to erase the horrible thought but it just wouldn't go away.

Like many nights before they were dating, Tim cried himself to sleep that night, only to wake about 2 hours later to a nightmare, and to Raelyn sitting at the end of his bed.

"What's really been going on with you and Conner Tim?" she asked, looking at him with a concerned expression.

"Nothing, it was just a nightmare, stay out of my head, shouldn't you know better." Tim snapped back at her, only to immediately regret it when a heart broken look crossed her eyes.

"Right....my bad, just sensed immense pain and sorrow through the dream realm and wanted to make sure you were alright." Raelyn mumbled, getting up from her sitting position and moving to the door.

"Raelyn, wait." Tim called to her. "I'm sorry I snapped, maybe it would be good to talk to someone about the things happening." he said, giving her an apologetic smile. Raelyn returned the small smile and sat back down on the bed.

And so, Tim told Raelyn everything, Conner not responding to his texts, not having enough time to spend with him, not giving him any form of physical affection, being kind of distant, everything. By the end he was crying and hiccuping and Raelyn was running her hands through his black hair in attempts to help him stay grounded.

"I'm scared to ask him what's going on, I don't want to lose him Rae." he sobbed quietly, clutching a blanket to his chest.

"I know Tim, but if you don't things could only get worse, at least if you talk there's a chance it'll get better." Raelyn said.

"Besides, if things don't go the way you hope, then that's his problem. If he can't talk to you about something then you shouldn't keep him around." Tim nodded and sniffled
