You can listen to this while reading, I find it sets the mood ;)

The carriage ride was silent. Not quite an awkward silence, but not a comfortable one either. I was terrified about seeing Tom. I wasn't sure what Draco was thinking, but I wasn't very fond of it. He and I sat across from Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy and since the carriage was large, we had plenty of leg room, but what I found interesting was that Draco sat right next to me, to the point where our legs touched.

It was freezing inside the carriage. I didn't know why, but I had goosebumps crawling all over my skin, my bare legs turned to icicles. Draco looked at me and obviously noticed my teeth chattering.

"Lucia," he whispered in my ear, eyeing my window.

"Yes?" I asked in between chatters.

"Take my coat please, I don't want you to be cold." He said grabbing it from the seat next to him. He placed it over my shoulders and I immediately felt the warmth spreading throughout my freezing body. I smiled at him, gratefully, mouthing 'thank you'.

I glanced at his parents and saw that Mrs. Malfoy was looking at us, smiling as if she knew something we didn't. As soon as she noticed I had seen her staring, she changed her view to the window, making it seem as if she was doing that the whole time.

Mr. Malfoy on the other hand sort of sneered angrily while looking deep at thought, then he looked directly at me, catching me completely off guard.

"Ms. Brown," he said coldly.

"Yes Mr. Malfoy?" I asked, trying to hide my confusion. He was very intimidating. Draco snapped his head at me and put his arm around my shoulder, comforting me. He must've known that his father wasn't the...friendliest.

"You have...no magical relatives, correct?"

I hesitated.

Took in a sharp breath.

"No, I have none, at least none that I am aware of," I said, trying to sound convincing.

"Hmm," is all he responded with as he looked out the same window as Mrs. Malfoy, smiling the same smile that she had before.

I had begun to get irritated. What was it that they knew? They obviously knew somethin-

Did they know about-

No of course not.

I reassured myself repeatedly. How would they know that Tom was my father? It was impossible, no one knew except me, Dumbledore, Remus... and maybe 2 other people, I wasn't quite sure if I remembered. Tom wouldn't tell anyone though, would he?

I fiddled with my thumbs and became extra anxious, even more so than before. My eyes became weary and I became tired. Anxiety made me exhausted, all my brain did was come up with more options for what could go wrong it was pure torture.

As my eyes blinked slowly, my head dropped on Draco's shoulder. He shuddered a little, surprised. He let me though.

. . .

I was awoken by the sound of Draco's whispers.

"Hey hey wake up, we gotta go," He said in a hushed tone. My eyes fluttered open as i moved my head off his shoulder.

"Oh I'm sorry, did I?"

"No it's fine. Now come on." He said hurriedly. Someone was in a rush. I followed him out of the carriage since his parents had already left. The manor was dark and moody. It looked as if sunshine disliked it. There was no chirping, no animals, nothing. Nature did not like this area, it was quite obvious.

I grabbed my luggage and walked a few steps behind Draco as we approached the brooding palace.

"Gretchen!" Draco shouted, signaling a house elf to suddenly appear. She was old and ragged. The poor thing, it looked depressed. It had the most awful marks and scars all over it.

"Is this how you treat your house elves?" I whispered to him, concerned. He shrugged my question off, seeing nothing wrong with the way he treated his servants. Of course they were lower than him, just like everyone else, I'm sure.

"Take these to our rooms," He said practically throwing our bags on top of her! I felt so bad, but I just stood there biting my lip, looking away. I had tears in my eyes. If this was how things were going to be...I wasn't sure I wanted to stay here.

"Now! Gretchen!" He shouted at her again and she disappeared into a puff of smoke. He shook his head in disbelief, catching me surprised.

"What." He said looking at me, annoyed. What was wrong with him?

"Nothing...Malfoy," I said, not using his first name. I had started calling him Draco, but I couldn't calm him that. He was acting too much like his father. Like father like son?

"Don't call me that," He demanded angrily, stepping towards me. This caused me to flinch, scared he'd hit me. His face instantly changed, from anger to guilt. "Why did you flinch like that?" He asked, concerned.

I just kept walking, forgetting about it. I opened the giant front doors and it was magnificent. It was richly furnished and detailed. I wouldn't fit in here, I wasn't all...well rich.

The one thing I strongly disliked was how dark it was.

"Can we open some windows? It would be so much nicer-"

"No. Don't ask again," Draco replied, walking up the gallant stairs. Where was the Draco who had comforted me last night? Where did he go?

I followed him, assuming I should. He led me to a giant room with a queen sized bed, themes of green silver and black. I walked around it while he leaned on the frame of the door, rolling his eyes. I could see him smirk while I was admiring how big it was. My house was tiny compared to his Manor. How could I not want to take it all in?

"Draco it's..."

"It's yours. Well to stay in, for now. I'm just down the hallway, so if you need to annoy someone with your questions, come to me, okay? Don't go elsewhere and please don't wander, I wouldn't want you getting lost in here. It's just a bad idea. Goodbye for now." He finished.

I was surprised he was just leaving me in here all alone. I didn't really mind. I liked being alone sometimes. It was raining and ugh...it sounded so nice. I loved the rain.

I opened the drapes that were blocking the outside world from my view and suddenly it was much brighter. I opened the giant windows and the cool breeze and raindrops could be felt and heard.

Finally.

My thoughts drifted as I sat in front of the windows, leading me into another sleep.
