~ CHAPTER FIVE ::
A Novel Approach

🌑

Cleo had decided that she'd force herself to still hang around the pack just avoid, Scott and Malia. Considering that they were her siblings and the least they could have done was tell her the truth. But she was still pissed at the pack all but Liam because he didn't even know, at least by what she knew.

Cleo walked on the other side opposite of Malia crossing her arms over her chest as the three walked down the hallway. "The Dread Doctors by T. R. McCammon." Lydia had read off the cover of the book. She then stopped making Cleo finally look over at her. She looked at the cover furrowing her eyebrows. "What?" Malia asked the two.

"I don't know. There's something about it. Has anyone actually read it yet?" Lydia questioned continuing down the hallway. "Just me. And I didn't understand any of it." Malia stated looking over at Cleo then back at Lydia.

"We should probably all read it." Lydia suggested. "Kiras working on that." Malia replied.

"Stiles says he can't find anything on the author. He thinks it's a pen name." Malia said as she dug into her locker. "In a small New England town, teenagers are taken in the night and buried alive. Days later they emerge transformed, wreaking havoc and spreading terror, commanded by an ancient order parascientists known only as the Dread Doctors." Lydia read off the back of the book.

"Sounds vaguely familiar." Cleo finally spoke up. "How does it end?" Lydia questioned. "It doesn't. This is supposed to be volume one." Malia replied to Lydias question making Cleo sigh. "Oh, let me guess... There is no volume two?" Lydia asked again.

"I think we're living volume two." Cleo pointed out, "Then maybe the real question is... Is this a novel or someone's prediction?" Lydia asked looking down at the book.
