~ CHAPTER FOURTEEN The Sword and the Spirit

"Okay, Josie. High school will be tough at first of course but you got this." Cleo said before they got out the car.
"Okay." Josie said quietly, she still wasn't used to Cleo nor the rest of the McCalls but she'd come around soon.
As Cleo and Josie walked in the intercoms came on, "by order of the Sheriff, a county-wide curfew goes into effect tonight at sundown. All after-school activities are canceled until further notice. Students should go directly home at the end of the school day."
There were Deputies walking around with guns in their hands making Cleo pull Josie closer.
After Cleo walked Josie to class she found Stiles and Scott with a Deputy. "You don't think this is a bit much in terms of firepower for a high school?" Stiles questioned.
"Your dads the one that issued us these things, and he wouldn't officially say why." The Deputy pointed out. "Did he say anything unofficially?" Scott asked.
