I was boarding, The Titanic, I was holding my one year old daughter, Daisy's, hand. "Mama?" Daisy said, as she reached up, as I picked her up. "I know baby. You miss daddy." I kissed her head. "We'll go home now baby. We'll be okay." I whispered, as we went to our cabin. "I'm sorry, sweetheart... Do you want to sleep for a little bit??" She nodded as I tucked her in and kissed her head. "Sleep Mommy's angel... I'll be in the next room." I whispered, before singing softly, till she fell asleep. I stepped out and went to settle in, when there was a knock on the door. I went and opened the door. "Hi, Can I help you??" "Ms. Rose Hockley???? I'm Trudy! I'll be your maid while on Titanic! Mr. Hockley's father arranged it for you, and your daughter." I said "Oh yes! Thank you! Come in. My daughter is asleep currently." After sitting and getting to know Trudy, I could tell I was gonna like her.

After a few more minutes, I heard "MAMA!!!!!" It caused me to jump with Trudy. "Sorry, I'll be right back." I ran to my daughters room. "Hey sweet girl." Her screams grew louder as I lifted her into my arms. "The dream again?" She sniffled, as she nodded. "I'm so sorry, darling... It's gonna be Okay." It's been like this for days even months, since her fathers death. She was only 6 months when her father died, but she remembers bits and pieces of the day. I remember getting a knock on the door. The police being there, telling me there was a fatal car accident, and Cal might have been the fatality. I remember getting Daisy, and going to the hospital, begging to see him. When I did, He whispered that he loved me, and was sorry to not be strong enough for us. He gave Daisy a kiss, then me, a deep passionate kiss before he left us. "Mama?" Daisy said as she looked to Trudy. "This is our friend, her name is Trudy. She's gonna help us out." Daisy waved shyly, before I said "We're gonna go and take some air on the boat deck, This room suddenly feels, super stuffy." Trudy nodded and said "Go on ahead."

I carried Daisy out to the main deck. "Look baby! Do you see?" I pointed to the dolphins. "Pwetty." She said, with a smile. "You know Daddy always told me Dolphins, are a sign of good luck." Daisy said "miss daddy." I kissed her head, sitting her on the deck, before pulling out something from my coat pocket. "I bought this for you when we were in Pairs." I opened the box, to reveal a white gold locket. "And inside..." I opened it, and showed her the last picture of our little family. "Daddy." She said, sadly. "and you were two little to remember this, but this inscription, here says 'Little Daisy Grace, so sweet, so loved, My beautiful daughter, awaken to me. You've got a strength about you, and you've got mom and I beside you.' It's part of a lullaby your dad made up specially for you. He's always told me, what his greatest treasures were he said it was us." Daisy smiled, and said "can you sing the lullaby to me?" I chuckled and said "I think I have it written down somewhere. I'll sing it for you tonight." "Excuse me." A man's voice said, causing me to look up as I clasped the locket around Daisy's neck. "sorry, are we in your way?" I said, as I picked up Daisy. "No not at all... I'm Thomas Andrews, and this is Liza. " He extended his hand. "Rose Hockley, and this little one is Daisy."

"Hi." Daisy said, shyly waving. Liza said "Daisy pway?" I sat Daisy down, as she and Liza started to play. "I wish it was easy for us to make friends like that." I said with a smile. "Daisy is a really pretty name, if you don't mind my saying, Mrs..." Thomas started, as I said "Ms. Hockley... My husband past away about 7 months ago." I said looking away from Mr. Andrew's gaze. "Oh, I'm so sorry. My wife passed away 1 year and 6 months ago too." I looked to him, offering a sympathetic smile. "I'm so sorry.. It's horrible... My Husband, chose the name Daisy, as it matches the flower name of mine, and it was his mother's favorite flowers. How did you and your wife settle on Liza? Unless, you find me being to forward..." I asked. Thomas said "Oh No, I don't mind you asking. Liza was her mothers name... She died, in labor. Her middle name is Claire, after her mother, it was going to be her first name, but when Liza died, I decided to name our daughter after her brave mother."

"I love it." I said as we looked to our daughters, who were laughing and playing. "They get along so well..." Thomas commented. "Maybe we can meet up so they can play at least till we arrive in the states? Or if you have an emergency, I can watch Liza for you." Thomas smiled wide and said "That would be great actually. It's been hard, as you know being a single parent... You don't have too much support." I said "I know. If it wasn't for Cal's father, helping me, I wouldn't have made it this far. He even paid for me and Daisy, to travel this last month, then bought us tickets on this wonderful ship." Thomas said "I was the key builder on the ship, Maybe I can give you, Daisy and Liza a tour of the wonderful ship?" I said "That'd be wonderful Mr. Andrews!" Thomas smiled. "So How about tomorrow after breakfast?" I said "Sounds like a plan. We better go get ready for dinner, will we see you guys at dinner??" I said as we picked up Daisy and Liza. "Yes. I'll Save you two a seat." I said "Thanks!" I took Daisy to our room and we quickly changed. "Thanks Trudy!" I said, as Daisy came over tugging on my dress. "Yes baby?" I asked. Daisy said "Hungy." I took her hand and said "Come on, then." We went to the dining area, looking around. "Ms. Hockley!" I heard Thomas's voice, as I walked over towards that area. "Daisy!!!" Liza said happily. I got Daisy situated, before, sitting myself. During dinner, Thomas and I talked a lot about different things.

After Dinner Thomas and Liza walked us back to our state room. "Thanks T.. Mr. Andrews." I said as I unlocked the door, as Daisy and Liza yawned. "Thomas Please." He insisted, as I said "Then you must call me Rose." Thomas smiled and said "You Got it. So Will you guys be dining in your state room or in the dining room?" I said "Well, I'm not sure, just yet, but I would like to eat in the dining hall again." Thomas said "Well We'll save you two a seat again, and if you decide to eat in your stateroom, then We'll meet up after?" I said "That'd be great. Thanks Thomas, for everything today, especially letting me dump everything on you." "That goes both ways. But you two get some sleep." Daisy and I went into the room and got ready for bed, before tucking her in and singing softly. After I then went to bed myself.
