"Thank you." Raquel exhaled closing the door behind her. She was in a hurry, she didn't want to lose her job. How would she pay for the rent without a job?
She ran down the street taking her usual bus. Breathing heavily as the bus almost left without her, she got in. Feeling her heart beating fastly, she sat down. Thankfully, there was enough space for everyone to sit. She was feeling so tired, it was even weird. She would usually run twice more without having any problem, but past few days it seemed to be harder. She also noticed a small change in her weight. Although Raquel Murillo wasn't any sport's woman, she never had a problem with being fit. "I should hit a gym." She finally thought as she put her head on the window resting her hands on her legs. She slowly started closing her eyes falling asleep.
"Raquel, wake up." Mirko shook her shoulder. Raquel opened her eyes looking at her friend. "We gotta get out of the bus." He smiled kindly. He was always getting the same bus as Raquel, just a few stations later. They walked together at work and they even worked together. Raquel was a waitress and Mirko was working at the bar.
"Thank you," she managed to say before getting up. Her head hurt and she wasn't feeling very well, she could tell.
"You're welcome." The man smiled helping her to get up. They walked towards their workplace. They talked about common things while walking, but then suddenly Raquel started feeling dizzy. She stopped waiting for it to pass. Mirko immediately noticed it and stopped, walking back to Raquel. "Are you alright?" He asked looking at his exhausted friend.
"Yes, don't worry." She managed to smile through her dizziness.
"If you say so." Mirko raised his eyebrows waiting for his friend to feel better.
"Let's go." She suddenly said and started walking towards the restaurant. Mirko just shrugged and went after her.
As soon as they reached the restaurant their manager greeted them: "Good morning." They smiled at him, said good morning, and continuing into the kitchen. As they walked in the head chef greeted them.
"Hey, guys!" Angél smiled at them. "How are you?"
"Good." Raquel nodded smiling yet still not feeling well.
"Okay and how about you?" He turned at Mirko.
"I'm okay, but Raquel doesn't seem so well as she said." Angél raised his eyebrows looking at Raquel. Only then, when Mirko mentioned it, he noticed her pale face.
"I'm fine, don't worry." Raquel sighed. None of them believe her, she didn't look well at all. "It's probably just cold, it's pretty cold outside, and yesterday I wasn't wearing much while going to work." She confessed hoping that they will believe her. It wasn't a lie she really thought it was just some common cold, but somewhere deep down she knew it wasn't.
Feeling still a little dizzy she managed to take some orders. She tried to smile, but she would bet that every guest noticed that she wasn't okay at all. She took the orders into the kitchen, opening the door, looking at all the cooks. Everyone was working, she walked inside, but the second she smelled the food they were making, she became feeling nauseous. She rushed into the bathroom as quickly as she could. After almost taking down some guests she finally managed to sit up to the toilet and let everything out. She felt horrible, throwing up into the toilet wasn't truly the best thing to do.
Sitting on the cold floor, feeling weak and not being able to stand was Raquel now. She has never felt so bad before, she has never felt so weak. Closing her eyes, almost falling asleep she sat there. Trying to breathe calmly and not to vomit again was the only thing she could do.
