[AN: It’s Bekah! Enjoy the chapter lovelies…]
[ELEANOR’S POV] [AN: This is quickly becoming a favorite POV of mine to write.]
I smiled as I walked up to the house holding hands with Louis. We had finally worked things out between us. I had quickly apologized for my earlier attitude during our coffee date. Angelica was a sweet girl who deserved to have a loving family, and Louis could give her that. Sure it was awkward knowing my boyfriend had a seventeen year old daughter, but I could learn to live with it. I hadn’t yet told Louis what Angelica had said to me earlier. It would just upset him. And her. Angelica could tell him when she was ready. For now I was going to spend a few days getting to know my boyfriend’s daughter. Whoa. Never thought I would say that phrase….even in my head. Harry had walked up to us on our way into the house to see Angie.
“Hey Haz, what’s up?” Louis asked.
“Lou, can I talk to you?” Harry asked with a worried glance at me. “Alone?” Okay then. You didn’t have to tell me twice when I’m not wanted.
“I have a call to return anyways,” I said excusing myself as I walked back down the path pulling out my phone. I at least assumed that I had a call to make. My phone had been buzzing on and off for the past hour or so as it rested in my pocket. I had ignored it because I was busy talking to Louis. I looked at my phone to discover that I had SEVENTEEN CALLS?!?? All from Annabelle. What on Earth? I dialed her number waiting for it to connect.
“I-Is he there?” Annabelle’s voice cracked through the line. She sounded like she had been crying so I didn’t bring up the fact that she hadn’t even said hello to me.
“Is who where? Anna, are you okay?” I asked in a panic. Anna was one of Louis’ best friends and a hoot to hand out with. I don’t think I have ever seen or heard her upset like this.
“Liam,” she sniffled. “Is he at my house?”
“Why would Liam be at your house?”
“It’s a long story. Just check please?” I rolled my eyes and snuck around the back of her house to peek into the side window. Liam was indeed there. He was smiling sadly at a photo on the mantle of Anna and the boys. What was going on?
“Okay, he’s in your house. Are you coming home? I wanted to talk to you about something Angie told me anyways.”
“I can’t come home until he leaves.” That didn’t make any sense. Anna loved Liam, and I mean LOVED Liam. She never said it out loud, but we all knew it. Plus it was more than obvious that Liam felt the same.
“Anna. Honey, did you get a bad haircut or something? Liam would love you even if you were bald.”
“No he wouldn’t. Liam doesn’t love me.” She said it so firmly like she was positive of it. As if she knew Liam could never love her.
“Hon, that’s not true. You’re Liam’s best friend.”
“That’s right,” she bitterly agreed. “His best friend and that’s it.”
“Okay, I need the entire story. Now.” Anna sighed into the phone.
“The first thing you have to know is that I had or have a crush on Liam.” Did she honestly think she was telling me something new?
“Yeah. We all know that.”
“You do?”
“It’s kind of obvious.”
“Well the lads were all talking about Liam staying with me for some reason. I guess they must have been teasing him and—“ she took a shaky breath. “—he said he would never like me.” Oh Liam. You idiot, I thought looking in the window at him. What have you done? “He hates me.”
