You knew you wouldn't stand a chance if this was a race won by speed; you had been so extremely out of shape, it's a wonder you've even kept this pace for more than a minute.

"Hey!" One called, "Get back here!"

You whipped your head back to see them quickly gaining speed and leaped over a small creek before making the last-second decision to scramble up a tree.

Have you ever climbed a tree like this before? No. Were you going to let that stop you? Also no.

Your stiff feet hardly hit the forest floor, sprinting towards the nearest tree trunk in a rhythm that matched your heartbeat. You used this momentum to grab one of the lower branches. You pulled yourself up and watched as the two men started getting closer to the tree. That angry-looking one didn't hesitate to climb after you, but you climbed higher, purposely breaking some branches to make his climb harder, sometimes pausing your ascending to throw broken branches at him, though it didn't do much, if anything it just irritated him more.

"Please, leave me alone," You gasped as you reached for another branch and he grabbed your ankle and gave you a harsh tug. You stumbled down and grabbed onto a branch desperately, kicking the male below you.

"You bitch, stop-ow!" You planted a kick right to his forehead and he let go, fast enough for you to scramble up higher.

San was watching you two from the forest floor, his arms crossed as he watched the scene in slight amusement. "I thought you were athletic, Wooyo, looks like I was wrong. "

"Shut up, I'm trying to focus." He muttered and lifted himself over a branch, struggling to climb at your rate. As you climbed higher and higher you were reaching the top of the tree, where the branches got thinner and weaker. You hesitated as you reached out for the next tree limb, wrapping your hand around it and debating whether it could hold your weight.

The black haired-male appeared in front of you when you paused too long to make a decision. You compulsively took a step back once he appeared in your line of sight, causing you to lose your balance. "Are you an idiot?" He asked as he caught you and pulled you into him by your waist. You tried to push him away but you had been pinned against the trunk.

"Don't. Move." He hissed and pushed you harder against the tree. "You've been on my nerves for too long now. Fight back," he pressed something sharp against your side. "And I will cut your throat."

Tears stung your eyes but you found yourself nodding, hands on his arms to keep him a distance away from you. No, no way, you can't give up yet. Seonghwa had faith in you, you can't give up this easily. You can't give up anymore.

You waited for something to happen, maybe for him to push you out of the tree, but Wooyoung seemed just as unsure as you did.

"Um... Uh, okay, we're going to get down one at a time." He said as he let go of one shoulder, "You first. Don't fall."

You looked down- a mistake- and tried to place your footing closest to the tree trunk. You quickly learned that going down was a lot harder than getting up. The wind pushed you gently and your anxiety peaked when you realized how high up you were.

"Go faster," Wooyoung called from above you, his feet on a branch right next to your head.

"I can't," You mumbled as you squatted down on a branch. Here was where you had torn off a tree limb to whack Wooyoung with, unknowingly making your climb down even harder. The next branch that could hold your weight was a few feet below you.

"What?"

"I can't," you said, speaking more clearly this time. "I-It's too far down, I can't reach."
