"Hi", I offered him a teensy smile in order to release his irritation.
Ace raised an eyebrow. "Were you spying?" Oh, that was a difficult question. We were definitely spying, but if we told him that it would be weird. If we didn't, he'd know that we were lying. So either way, he'd know. The only choice was. . . . .
"Maybe," I said. What? It was safe.
"Yeah, sure," he said sarcastically. "Now, I'm gonna ask you one more time. Were you spying or not? If you lie, then I'll tell Ms. Young. Oh, and I'll know if you're lying. I'm a pretty good liar my self." he added.
Alexandra sighed. "Fine yes, we were lying."
Ace was about to say something else when Adam and Ozil came.
Ozil, out of breath, said to Ace, "We're off the hook. She almost got us expelled but we lied our way out of it."
Adam said, "Who are you guys?"
I mentally closed my eyes. If Adam and Ozil found out that were spying on them too, it would be super embarrassing. But the words that came out of Ace's mouth shocked me.
"Oh, we just bumped into each other and I'm was asking her who she is." He said. Wow, he wasn't lying when he was saying that he was a good liar. Another part of me exclaimed, What the heck is he doing?
Ozil and Adam nodded. Ozil said, "I'm gonna get Aanav and come back real quick."
As soon as those two ran off to find their friend Aanav, Ace let out a barely noticeable sigh.
I turned to him. "Why," I asked.
"Why what?" He said, pretending that he had no clue of what I was talking about. Well, he may be able to fool others, but he can't fool me.
"Why'd you lie to you friends?" I said in a 'duh' voice, starting to grow impatient.
"Well. . . . . That's for me to know and for you to find out. Bye!" And he ran off.
I turned to Alexandra slowly. "What the heck?"
"You don't say," she replied and got off from the wall that she was leaning on. We started to just walk around, and whenever I caught Ace's eye, he just looked away really quickly. What was up with him? Oh, well. I'll just hope he's in my element so I can confront him later.
After the orientation, we went home. Alexandra and Estella were having a sleepover tonight with us.
When we reached my house, we both took a shower, and went into my room.
A few hours passed just talking and before we knew it, we were being sent to bed. Alexandra and I just lay under the covers for a few minutes before she got up and went out the door.
A few moments later she came back with a big bowl of popcorn in her hand. "So, what happened with Ace this afternoon?" She asked while munching on the popcorn.
"I have literally no idea. He's just like, 'that for me to know and for you to find out', I mean what the heck? I'll just have to hope he's in Magnesium." I replied, taking some popcorn of my own.
"Why do you want him to be in your element," Alexandra questioned with a hint of a smile on her lips.
"So I can confront him of acting weird," I said in a 'duh' voice, grabbing more popcorn.
"Is that the only reason?" Alexandra said, her eyes twinkling.
I finally realized of what she was hinting. I widened my eyes and exclaimed, "What? No! I don't have a crush on him or something!" I was surprised of what she meant. I mean, we had only exchanged a few words, and she already was thinking about crushes?
"Fine," Alexandra sighed. "Maybe now you don't. But I bet you that you will have a crush on him later."
I smirked, because I knew it would never happen. "You're on. Loser has to be the other's servant for 2 days."
Alexandra said, "Prepare to be my servant. And also be prepared to have a massive crush on Ace. Also, be prepared of having him have a crush on you."
"Alexandra," I warned. She was really pushing it. I mean, why in the world would Ace have a crush on me? I only just met him and likewise. Although, it would explain his weird behavior.
"Okay, but I still ship you too," Alexandra exclaimed. In less than a heartbeat, she ran out the door.
Oh, well.
I had warned her.
