The biggest wedding of the year. Brayden Valentino and Christian Hernandez. Two families being joined together in the underground as per their parent's wishes.

Eighteen-year-old Brayden was born into the mafia life. Her f...
I looked beside me at my wall where a large portrait of my mother and I sat. Her pink lips were pressed against my cheek as my large, light green eyes looked at the camera. Her pale skin looked beautiful as always. She was a classy women, she liked everything cleaned and organized but with me we would do anything together.
That same, smile sat on her face even though the last thing she wanted to do was go outside and play in the snow, having to feel uncomfortable water sinking into her white boots, Making her toes cold and wet. She didn't care about anything when she was with me because she loved me and always put me before anyone else.
That's why am here today and she isn't.
My eyes started to fill with tears but instead, I plastered a forced smile on my face as I pretended she was actually here, showing me her pearly white teeth. "I really miss you mom, I love you"
Soon enough I heard a faint knock at the door. I lowered the volume of the movie then told her to come in, sitting up and arranging the pillows for Ella to sit beside me while we would eat and find a new movie to watch together.
But then she slowly opened the door, as I was watching in confusion when there wasn't any food in her hands. Her face was as pale as mine as she walked in, a certain worry filled her eyes as she stepped in and closed the door behind her.
"What's wrong, Ella?" I hurried over to her but she just looked around, as if she is trying to find something in my room.
She snapped out of her terrifying trance then looked at me, "Oh, Your-your father is home, Brayden. We need to get you ready, come on."
I smiled "Is he taking us for dinner? Did he book reservations? Oh am kind of full from the food you made me but this is going to be nice-"
She shook her head, making me cut myself off as my face fell, "No, Brayden, he's not taking you to out to dinner. A few...friends of his are here, they'd like to meet you."
I tilt my head, very confused and a little hurt. I thought he was finally going to do something nice for me.
"Just-just get ready. darling, then go to his den." She forced on a smile then rushed out of the room, looking like she was wiping tears.

I headed into my closet and got myself dressed. I don't have that many fancy clothes since am either going to the warehouse for training or staying home. Otherwise, its just the mall or grabbing myself some coffee with one of my drivers. I've never been to any parties or events with father, he doesn't even allow me to attend our events.
So I settled on a light greenish, off the shoulder shirt with a pair of black jeans and a black belt to top it off. Then I put on some mascara and blush on, covered my lips with chapstick that I topped off with gloss to make myself look fancier. It didn't do that much but its the thought that counts. After taking my hair down from two braids, I combed through it lil bit so the waves wouldn't fall to much.
